Whilst it's great that Steve is back at the club let's not get too carried away as this is a very different situation than before. The club has no money and a group of young inexperienced players. He has also not really achieved anything at Soham. I personally need some convincing and of course I hope he can do that. I also hope as previous posts have mentioned that some of the Fallon/Beck era fans return as from what I hear the clubs financial situation is not very good. I overheard a conversation last night that several players weren't paid last month and we have not had a grounds man for 10 days. Just hope we can keep the current set of players. Whatever happens I will continue to support the Stutes home and away.

Fallon took Soham to their best ever position and did it with a lot of players he signed from local football. That's quite impressive. Doesn't mean he'll work wonders for us, but he did something good for Soham.
Regarding the groundsmen, was he full time or part time? The last few seasons we kept hearing the pitch was rubbish and we had a groundsman then.
The club's not had money for years, at least the debt is gone now though.

That's as maybe but has he done it with no money and young players? Re groundsman, I don't know I only overheard a conversation but maybe if you came along and supported the team at games you might find out ! We maybe debt free but if we can't pay people it's irrelevant

Would like to thank BP for the great job he has done for Histon. I am gutted he has gone but if you can't pay the man the money he was earning he has to leave for the sake of his wife and family as stated in the CEN today. Big welcome back to Steve Fallon and I'm sure all the fans will get behind him and the team.
