Cliff Akurang update
from a barnet fan
He looked poor when he first came. The fans booed and abused him to his face and rightly so after some of his performances.
Scored a few late on in the season but never looked very good.
This season he is looking worse then ever. A total joke. Carnt run, jump or move from his 5 yard invisible box.
i wonder if histon can get him back . what do you think ?

Cliff played for Dagenham before Histon but when they got promotion to the Football league Dagenham let him go. I spoke to a Dagenham supporter, after Cliff had gone to Barnet and he thought that Akurung would never make it at Football League division 2 level. I would have thought that the Barnet manager, Fairclough, who is also the England C manager surely can spot a striker to do a job for him

He was adequate for us, and that's it really. He didn't really stand out like Stuart Fleetwood or anyone else like that did in the BSP, he got goals and that was what was expected of him.
I myself would be surprised if he came back, we don't really need strikers (well from what I've seen from 1 game so far this year!) we need to be strengthening in the centre of the park.
By the way, when does the transfer window close?

By the way, when does the transfer window close? August the 31st 23:59 and 59 seconds exactly I wouldn't want to see him back. He was never that good, and quite frankly how we got 50k for him is amazing. We don't need a clumsy yet sometimes effective striker, we need a CM.

'The transfer window for permanent signings closes on September 1, but Football League clubs are still allowed to bring in players on temporary deals.'

''August the 31st
23:59 and 59 seconds exactly''
That would mean it closed on August the 31st...
Players can be signed on the 1st.
Not like you to misinterpret the facts! Ha
