Histon is a very marketable club and therefore I feel unlikely to go into administration - the whole country has heard of Histon after our FA cup journey last year. There would be other sponsors who would be happy to come on board and who have integrity. I personally would rather be standing at the side of a grass pitch with no stands supporting a team whose management have integrity than sitting in a shiny warm stadium having sold my soul!

Sorry saski but i think you are living in a dream world...the club have been losing sponsors and fans this season....that is one of the reasons why they have been struggling with income...just talk to Graham Eales.

We were told at the forum that the club were having problems getting existing sponsors to cough up money....does not add up does it?

agree there spudcam, where as last year we were a team on the verge of league football and doing well in the FA cup with our limited budget etc., this season its the complete opposite, like an episode of the Benny Hill show!
so many topics and posts i dont know where to start reading!

I know I am an eternal optimist but I still believe that someone would come through for Histon if it came to it - HFC can generate National press coverage and there are still some good people with money out there!

He is on an ego trip for himself. No one invests in a football club expecting a good return on their money. When he goes Histon will find themselves at the level of football that the club's support can sustain. One minute he is saying he has to get rid of players because we cannot afford them , Next he is talking about going into the football league and extending the ground capacity. One minute he is reinstating Fal the next he is sacking him. The man obviously does not know how to treat people whether they are loyal employees or customers. Totally agree with this comment, TR is on one big ego trip for himself with little consideration for others, he seems to forget that this is a village club, it always will be and it will never be the biggest club in Cambridgeshire regardless of the amount of money he has in his bank account. Baldwin was right in saying TR will take Histon into the league, i think he meant the Kershaw League though. Very sad to see Fallon go, since i believe he has been the driving force for the club, and has done so much in bringing them up the tables over the years..

He seems more interested in the match day carvery than the team,he should have stayed in his hotel kitchen.

We were told at the forum that the club were having problems getting existing sponsors to cough up money....does not add up does it? I sponsor Steve Fallons home kit and havent paid yet, when i do i will divide the games hes managed at home so far this season by the total sum owed and pay the balance accordingly.
