Quality! My home city's team. Let's bill this as The Village vs The City. Make sure you lock up your cars and daughters. Some dodgy folk from up there you know! If we get through this and make it through to the 3rd Round I wouldn't mind a home tie against Sunderland or Newcastle.

Me too, but as we are in the northern half of the draw that's not gonna happen. Could we have got a worse draw? Must be the longest possible journey other than Blyth Spartans

I believe it is an astro turf surface, which will make things interesting!

Right well this is what I have collaborated so far on Durham.
They currently play at New Ferens Park and currently compete in the "Northern Premier League Division One North" who the recently formed F.C. Halifax Town (yes, the old Halifax Town) compete in. Bamber Bridge who of course were our last opponents in the F.A Cup Preliminary 4th round in which we ran out a comfortable 4-1 with Muzza, Jamma, Nat and Danny scoring for us that occasion, also play in that league.
As of writing, they are currently sitting 8th in their respective league and have a number of games in hand over teams above them. They have not lost a game so far and are in a rich vein of form having smashed a healthy six past Stalybridge Celtic in their previous qualifying round.

I've also just realised that there is one other important match up in the North East on that day. My nerves just won't cope so I am planning to lock myself in my shed all afternoon!

I believe it is an astro turf surface, which will make things interesting! I may be wrong, but I think the match will be played at a different venue as the FA don't allow FA cup ties to be played on artificial pitches. So, better make sure the sat nav has the correct postcode!!!

I really doubt we will take a crowd. I'd say around about 30max, it is not at all a very inviting tie.

Yes, they had to play their second qualification round "home" tie at Eppleton Colliery Welfare FC.

Apparently the game will be at hetton. Blimey!! Even closer to my home village! I'd even have time to get to the Sunderland vs Mags game and then over in time for the Histon match. I just don't trust myself not to go out on the town with my friends that evening celebrate/commiserate both results - as I have my final 20-mile training run the very next day. Any chance of postponing the game? Can we call up a few players for internationals please?

Apparently the game will be at hetton. It seems that both Eppleton Colliery Welfare and Sunderland Reserves play their football at Hetton.... www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/military-man-edwards-ready-for-relegation-battle-1316065.htmlAt the Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground in Hetton-le-Hole, Co Durham, the wind could be made of metal shards. An audience of 1,032, Roy Keane among them, is shivering as Sunderland's reserve team beat Manchester United and none of those present would mistake the location for the Caribbean. It is the sort of weather that freezes blood.
