You are not allowed to count complementry tickets against you attendance figures........so you must have given a lot away or are you saying that the club is on a TAX fiddle???

As far as I know there were no complementary tickets given out for this game what has happened is simple. I don't know if anyone has picked up on this but I reckon the reason they said only 1,500 went was because the club has to share 1/2 of the ticket takings. Therefore saying only 1,500 went means that Histon don't have to give Swindon that much, and get to keep the rest. And as far as I know, I don't think that is breaking the rules? I mean there was easily over 2,500 fans there, easily. They brought close to the 800 mark and with both mainstands completely jammed, with behind the goals full as well, there is no chance it was only 1,500. Good move by Histon though! Very clever!

I have the feeling that that is NOT allowed. I'm guessing that somewhere the counting has gone all wrong, I think it's a innocent as that. And no, the directors are not that stupid, or crooked, so I really think it has been a c0c£ up somwehere along the lines

I did not say they didnt just that a lot of complementary tickets must have been giving out as these tickets do not count towards attendance figures

I think at the turnstlye I was standing near, at least 1K people came through it. And that was AFTER I turned up.
The club have to publicly announce a figure, so they have gone with the very bad guess

I dont know where you lot are coming from??? There was around 3k for last years game against CUFC and the place was jammed - around six deep around the ground - theres no way it was more than half of that yesterday so 15 hundred seems about right to me

why were people going through the gates then, if they were given tickets they dont have to. My dad works on the doors where the complimentary people go through and he said they were only given 3 tickets per player, which is about 90 tickets maximum. Not sure who your Dad is but there was only one place where people with complimentary tickets were supposed to go through yesterday and I don't think your Dad was that turnstile operator so I think it's best that this discussion is closed. Some of it verges on libellous!!

Indeed it does Jo, I thought it was bad enough when the CUFC fans are always accusing us of massaging the gate figures - but to have our own fans doing it beggars belief!!!!

A bit disappointing really, I would have expected a larger gate.
