Today v Cirencester Town..... Thought they were the poorest team I've seen this season in the SLP. Should have been there for the taking, and 3 points, but......... Stutes should have won this game. One up at half time, when we were ok but Cirencester could have easily scored 3 times. Second half a different matter. Stutes played some really good football. These youngsters are a real breath of fresh air. In the end, home fans must have been devastated at not winning the 3 points. I won't criticise individuals. But if the Club can make 3 signings, next season can be a real success. Think most of us know that the spine needs that. The youngsters are superb. Rogan and Sam are vital. Enol back hopefully. Can we find another Dan Holman? I have faith in next season., as long as these lads stay. Finances will obviously play a big part. Not sure Dan Gleeson will be affordable or necessary. Would Ike to see Rogan promoted to assist Fal. Decent attendance considering Poole fans doubling the gate at the Marina, as opposed to the 6 away fans at the GW.

Thought we had enough chances to win the game in the second half, we played with plenty of spirit and put a lot of effort in. Mostly we defended well and I was pleased to see us double up at the back at times to snuff out their attacks. Played some nice footy in the second half so as you say Clive if we can keep the majority of these young players and add a bit of experience then next season could be interesting. Thank you to the management and players for their hard work, its not been easy at times but we gave it a good go so no shame in that. Roll on next season.

Well it was our season, just about, summed up in a nut-shell. Looked fantastic going forward carved out some really good opportunities. 2-0 up and cruising and then we concede two very sloppy goals, albeit with a defender in goal, 3rd goal was just a freak incident. We have so much potential, especially going forward, but ultimately our defense has been our downfall. 63 goals scored, which isn't bad considering the departure of Jordan and ives who was out for a long while. 98 conceded however which really is awful, especially as we have two experienced, former football league defenders in charge.
What's also gutting is that there were so many instances this season where those 9/10 points that we ultimately needed to have stayed up could have been achieved had we just had a little more bottle. Hitchin away, where 3 points were chucked in the final 10 minutes, 2 points dropped at home to Paulton in the last minute, a point dropped away at kettering after battling back from 4-1 down, 2-0 up away at frome only to gain a point, losing hungerford and weymouth with the last kick of the game and this Saturday another, 2 points dropped. I know essentially they are only what ifs but I genuinely believe even with all the troubles we've had this season, we could have still been celebrating survival right now.
