Good Luck Histon against Leeds United. I am sure it will be a day you wil remember. A few years ago they were playing in the Champions League and soon they will be playing against Histon in a competitive match.
Good luck and hope you can get the replay. Not being horrible but can't see you beating Leeds... then again you beat us so who knows?
PS our manager is gone now after our chairman did not take too kindly to losing to Histon which was embarassing for a club of our stature (not meant big headedly)
Would love to see you beat Leeds by a single goal in the last minute!!! ;D

yeah either a last minute goal, or a resounding 8-0 win with a danny wright hat-trick. To be honest, I would even take a replay... I am not fussy

Thanks Gazza - they looked a bit tidy last night didn't they - although i think Northamptons defending was woeful. They won't get five past our defence.

Many thanks for that Gazza. Whatever the result it is going to be a memorable day (hopefuly for the right reasons) Personally, with the cameras here i would expect the atmoshere to be electric and i don't think it will be at all easy for Leeds despite their undoubted strong support and no doubt more vocal presence. Anything can happen in the Cup and it is all about dreams. I think if anyone had suggested five years back that we would be playing this game and have something of a chance, they would have been sectioned.

Its a cup game and strange things have been known to happen. A small compact ground will will help add to the magic of the cup. As per usual Leeds will sell out the ticket allocation they are given (1600 i think) and as usual all parts of the ground will contain Leeds fans. The support they give will even up the advantage Histon have of being at home and knowing the ground. So lets hope for a classic cup game and all being well Leeds going into the third round. We need it more than Histon after all we are not famous any more lol.

We're well behaved these days. I take my daughter to about 6 away matches a season and I've yet to see any trouble. And the only trouble I've seen at Elland Road was when Millwall paid us a visit - now THEY aren't very nice at all!

It will be fine. Ben, you may want to NOT wear Histon colours if you're that worried Anything but losing the first match will do me, but it will certainly be a good game. I'll say it again, I don't remember a time that Histon HAVEN'T given a side a good game.

We didnt give Carsharlton a good game a few years ago.
They were bottom of the league with about minus 80 points.

This is my first post to this board. I just want to congratulate you on the cracking season you are having down there, but as a fan of both Forest Green Rovers and Torquay United, I'd settle for you finishing in the play-offs and going up to League Two that way (behind Torquay as champions ;D ). I'm sure that almost all neutral supporters want to see you knock out the once "mighty" Leeds United (who may be scoring goals against the likes of Northampton, but lose a surprising number of matches), and if you do cause a sensation and beat them (which I'm praying you will in the 5th minute of stoppage time for a 1-0 win), I'd even forgive you winning the Blue Square Premier title, should it eventually happen. Good luck for the match with Leeds - almost the whole country will be behind you I think !

Thanks for that, much appreciated. I just hope that we do ourselves justice and perform the way we know we can. Not only is it good for football in the Cup tradition, but it will also fly the flag for the Blue Sq Premier.
