Exactly djben. Its the result on the pitch that counts, not the number of people that go through the turnstiles on match-day. I would happily take a win every week and a low attendance, even though a big gate is always nice.

Lets think about that one, stay in this league and earn TV money rights and have a less than convincing gate, as well as a basic guarunteed place in the F.A Cup First Round, or go down in your first season and play silly sods in the Connie South with an even LESSER crowd and shite footie opposition.

Its very difficult to guess the gate these days as it is so spread around the ground due in main to the additional seating. Its growing, slowly. You don't build massive gate increases in a handful of seasons at the top level. Don't run before you can walk and build the club at a sustainable rate. Makes sense!

There is no guarenteed place in the FA Cup First round, only the FA Trophy. Anyway, spend more money that you have coming in, finish mid-table, start building up debts, before long it'll be reforming as AFC Impington Village Reds in 4 years... If you work it out, it's actually about 500 less than this time last year, that's before you take off ghost season tickets.
