Did anyone take minutes Would be nice to know what was discussed, as I for one couldn't make it as the event was arranged at the last minute. Did anyone ask why we were only given 2 days notice of the forum? I might have been able to make it given a bit more notice.

Although Graham did mention that the club are planning to continue the talk-ins at The Railyway Vue so hopefully there will be more advance warning for those dates as and when they come up. The ground is looking extremely tidy. Pitch is excellent, lush grass and looks the business. The stands look clean and well presented. The Hills sponsorship boards now continue all around the ground. Even the Utd fans with the biggest chips on their shoulders should now appreciate how far Histon have come since last year. Gareth added that the catering will be increased following the complaints from hungry Utd fans missing out on their burgers last Christmas. We had three players there, MMK explaining about the bet between GG, Langers and him where none can shave until one of them scores. MMK was obviously proud and keen to take on the job of captain. I think he will do a very good job. It was stresed that this season only the captain is allowed to talk to the ref. (Hinted that this might have been another factor in deciding who was captain). If a player gets sent off they must return to inside the stand, ie. a lonely early shower. JB is happy with the preps fitness wise. Club are now using a coach with kitchen facilities so the players can eat according to a recommended diet (rather than KFC / Tesco) when returning from away games. JB and Fal are happy that the club now have better training facilities and I think they said that they have one more evening of training extra to last season, so we should be on more even terms compared to other clubs in the BSP. Miss Fallon won the "Miss Non League Today" competition. Graham introduced an excellent brochure promoting Histon FC, several of which I have now conveniently left in appropriate places for perusal. And a couple of mad Histon fans are doing their bit on the Radio Cambridgeshire tonight, starting 6pm. Didn't catch their names, but I'm sure they're canny lads. Oh yeah - and Issue #3 of FGH! Online is out midweek, next week. The author reminded people that there is a sponsorship form link within and how grateful he would be if people would consider sponsoring him to run the marathon in New York. He's running the marathon in a Histon FC top. Cheers FTM Preaching from the red and black gospel in New York!

In addition:
- Development of a new away stand is on hold pending availability of funds - A new PA system is due to be installed around the end of September - There are two new toilet blocks coming in (can't remember when) - Drive is due to be resurfaced next week
Oh, and I see the home and away dugouts have been swapped, so I guess the team will now be warming up in front of the home fans.

A well known "FTM" said "And a couple of mad Histon fans are doing their bit on the Radio Cambridgeshire tonight, starting 6pm. Didn't catch their names, but I'm sure they're canny lads. " Well done Steve, Andy (and Dave of course). You were all great. Thanks for everything you said so eloquently. (Hope the loos live up to the billing!!) (We even missed The Archers to listen to you! Thank goodness for Radio 4 listen-again service online!)

It was a lot of fun putting on the headphones and seeing what goes on in the studio. Always happy to spread the word. Those football fans who live in the village and don't go the matches are the ones missing out. They should get themselves along.
