Quinn did play long ball. Seeing how we (I'm a Cambridge supporter) played on Tuesday night really did ram home this fact.

Well from the sounds of it, he's just what we need at the moment and I'm sure he will be welcomed with open arms. Also what I thought we were lacking against Torquay, someone who can dictate play and take it by the scruff of the neck. But I do agree with Fallon to an extent, we need to be more clinical at this level if we are to stay up. But in saying that, its two games gone. This happened at exactly the same time last year, and then we threatened for play-off places. Patience...

Not anything like Histon did, it was much more varied and mixed up depending on who we were playing. Against some of the more tinpot teams we played it a bit more which was our undoing.

I just have a memory lodged in my head of seeing Albrighton's right leg swinging away, time after time, launching the ball up the field.
I suppose I do remember some "good propa football like" being played; Stevenage at home, Rushden away. A lot of dross in between though, although obviously results were good.
Anyway, yes, Histon.

I suggest you all look on the CUFC site as Farrell is not going anywhere

this is a shame as from what my father in law says (who is a utd fan) then he is definatly a very good player.

this what happed this if from a cambridge united fan
He's not signing for you.
The whole thing came about because your slimy chairmen went to Phil Law to try and agree a deal where we payed 30% of his wages, all behind Rolls & Brabins backs, but then he told them and the deal was cancelled categorically. And so it should be.

George Rolls is our Director of Football and in charge of all transfers in and out of CUFC, not Phil Law.
With Mr Laws recent foul up's regarding the Cambridge City fixture, the Milton Road episode, banning of fans for what appears to be next to nothing and now this, it would appear that his position is now untenable.
You are more than welcome to him on a free transfer so he can be all pally with Baldwin.

As I said in the earlier post, I'd have been very surprised if this move had come about - Ben is one of our most promising young midfielders who has been tipped for big things this season, after some great displays last campaign when called upon. With three midfielders out injured I'm not in the least bit surprised Brabin wants him to stay.
A shame it's all been portrayed as some kind of "war" on the back of the CEN today - deals fall through at the last minute all the time.
