It was pleasing to read in the cambridge news today that Steve intends speaking with Craig Pope in relation to his future.
No doubt Craig has made his choice for what he believes are the right reasons and i don,t think anyone can argue with that.
However, i sincerely hope that he has a change of heart and stays put here at Histon.

all of you are very niave if you think Pope has actually quit. This has been dreamt up by the club. He will have quit whilst he is banned, deflecting the issue from him and histon, then he will suddenly have a change of heart.
Very good idea for deflecting the real issues here.

Give it a rest People are moaning because despite him being banned, Histon are trying to hide away from the fact that they're guilty of having a player play for them who has been found guilty of being racist. There's still be no statement, no apology, which presumably means that Histon FC don't mind having players who've done such things. Not only are Histon FC not admitting, or apologising, but all the signs now point towards this 'Pope quits' thing being a smokescreen to prevent it becoming widely publicised that this whole affair has happened. |

Hort - have you been listening to what has been said? The club could not make a statement as the appeal was still on going.
The facts are now out there, hear those facts and then come back and give your thoughts.

Go onto the bbc website, click on Histon - then on something to do with racism, and its got Fallon talking on there, is that what you want to hear?
If they are still not admitting then i believe them and i stick by them and Craig Pope as it would be pointless to hide what he said if theres nothing else they can do.

Craig Pope is one of the nicest blokes you can meet, he is genuine and is no way a horrible person. I for one, am on Craigs side and the clubs side.
This has been spiralled out of proportion by you idiotic Cambridge United fans who think that you are better than everyone else, do us a favour and f**k off! Bunch of lowlives who have nothing better to do than help to ruin a players career. Proud of yourselves? Bet you all are, i hope your club goes down the drain. Trade recruitment FC, the most hated club in the league. Even torquay fans sang about hating you.

I do happen to remember a time not so long ago when UTD were going thro this. the name Brendan Batson mean anything to all! And if indeed like you all said on the conference forums its great fun winding up the Histon fans.
