Good luck to the lads, whoever plays tomorrow. I wish all the departees well, sad to see them go but I hope they can get their careers back on track. And a great opportunity for the scholars to play first team football.
Given the recent goings on at the club, I don't think relegation would be a bad thing. We have a chance of being competitive in the Southern League.

Brian Page is both heroic and stoic and deserves everyone's support. It's a chance for the youngsters and they may well fall short at this level but every Histon fan knows where the club is at. There will always be a club if things are handled correctly and every true football fan wishes Histon fc all the best for the future.

Good luck to all the lads involved tomorrow. I've read Brian has brought in a lad from Hull City. It'll be interesting if played to see if useful partnership with the Millwall lad Will develops.

I agree with Marke the Southern League Premier would be a good level for Histon to be competitive in with a young side. A lot of the teams are run on very modest budgets and there are some reasonable sides in it. Trying to maintain Conference North will not necessarily benefit Histon fc or the players . Tomorrow is a game to look forward to as Leamington won the SLP last year .

I guess that the Scholars are running out of legs. They played as the first team on Tuesday V Oxford City AWAY. They played the next night versus Wisbech St Mary as Under 18's, AWAY. They played again Thursday as the 1st Team against Over Sports in the CIC, and went to extra time. They played again this afternoon as U19's against the whipping boys of the league, who they beat 12-0 away first time, but this time, only managed a 0-0 draw. Finally, they have to play again tomorrow as the 1st Team! I know that there are a lot of Scholars, but this is a lot of games.
I wish them luck tomorrow, and for the rest of the season in all 5 competitions that they are still playing in.

Can't believe Matty Waters isn't starting today.

Some of the players may have left, but that was a good showing from the lads, no more Hoofston. Best showing I've seen from the team in months! Good to see the Histon way was being played. Why didn't we play it when the other players were here? The young lad at left back was really good, as was the whole back four and goalkeeper (couple of top draw saves from Kitscha). The two in centre midfield were good and a lot of the passing came from them. Charlie Day did well and lead well as skipper. Even Adi up top probably had his best game for us. Michael Built was excellent! If anybody has some spare cash, please use it to keep him at the club!!! Was he injured when he came off? I was over on the far side from the main stand and couldn't see. Was very surprised he came off and Freeman stayed on. Great to see Matty Waters on the pitch, even if it was for a few minutes. It'll be tough for the players and Brian, but if they play like they did today, with the ball on the floor (Why do we wack it up field all the time, we never win the ball!?!) then they have a good chance of staying up. Well done all today.

Built had a poorly leg - hamstring or something similar.
Might have been Adi's best performance so far, but I still don't understand what he's doing there. He's no scrapper, and that's what we need up front-someone who will fight for everything.

That explains it. He was superb today! Hopefully Freeman can learn from him, because he did hardly anything.
I agree. He doesn't seem to have any desire to chase balls or sprint for anything. If you don't pass it to him, he doesn't seem to want to know.

Thought all the lads played particularly well today for such a young side, especially the lads making their debuts. The little left back Ash was outstanding and the kid from Hull City Clappison showed his class and bravery. Would have been 1-0 in the first half where it not for him putting his head in harm's way. He was unlucky with the deflected own goal, but more than made up for this with a great assist for the equalizer. Well done Brian and the lads in sticking with it to the end.

What a good performance from Histons young team. They looked the better side and played with conviction and Brian Page was a proud manager when that deserved equaliser went in.

Really proud of all the players. We looked very solid at the back, Clappison and DeHaveland played very well and didn't give the ball away. Ashley had a fantastic debut. I saw him play for the first time on Thursday, and to put in such a good performance with only 2 days rest after extra time is amazing. Eugene deserves to play and looked good. Nick and Michael Built were a threat (albeit only occasionally), Adi held the ball up well for the most part, a couple of absolute class saves from Callum. I think Michael came off with a hammy, so he'll be missed, but i'd like to see Matty Waters come in. He struggles for strength at this level, but he has the knack of being in the box at the right time, something totally missing on Saturday. And I think he could play off Adi Yussuf and cause teams problems.
