Unless we have significant number of people interested in this trip the coach will NOT be running!! Please let me know if you are interested in this trip by Midday on Wednesday.
Thanks Andy

Come on lads and lasses. Eastbourne is a lovely place and I understand that the royal parade on the beach side isn't too far away. Lovely place and will be a great day out, and for £15 down to the South coast, well that isn't bad at all.

I don't get it? Why would you worry about it being too far when firstly your 17-18 what ever you are, and secondly you don't have to worry about driving or anything because your being taken there. Plus the banter is first class! ;D Its just a bit of banter!

i gennerally agree that the uptake for this trip has been poor, it 2 hr 30 down the road, theres loads 2 do in eastbourne, so lets be having you otherwise the people booked on will be unable to travel which is disheartening!¬

I can confirm Eastbourne is a lovely place to visit and has a terrific "front" although it is a fair way from the football ground - so if you're wanting to go there via the coach you'll need to arrange for the driver to drop you off then pick you up again most likely.
The club is very friendly and welcoming and we had a fantastic day there, a paddle before the game and great meal at Harry ramsden Fish and Chip shop on the front after to celebrate the victory!
Just as an idea for the coach - is it possible to have a tiered pricing system which will enable the coach to go so long as you have a minimum of 15 bookings or so? So you just divide the cost by the number of people booked, for example if the total cost of the coach was £500 then:
15 bookings - £33 each (£500/15) 20 bookings - £25 each (£500/20) 25 bookings - £20 each (£500/25) 30 bookings - £16 each (£500/30) 35 bookings - £14 each (£500/35)
Then that way you wont have the dissapointment of having to cancel at the last minute - I've been looking into the possibility of running some unofficial coaches at United in the last few weeks and this is the type of structure I'd look to run it on.
Good luck anyway.
Will

Thing is 4 or 5 of us go in the car and the petrol (even at todays prices) wont be more than £40 between us - so its just not cost effective to take the bus. If it was a tenner each then we'd think about it. And there's always the chance the stupid f*cker doesn't know where he's going (Salisbury last year!!)
I mean think about it - 50 seater bus at £15 a head - thats £750 - it doesn't cost anywhere near that in fuel and driver fee - its a bloody rip off really - diesel for the bus wont be more than £100 and a good wage for the driver would be £150 for the day - £250 total - where's the other £500 going?

See you at Eastbourne if you're going. Away matches are great fun. In fact I think I enjoy them more than home games. I would encourage anybody who is still deciding to take the plunge and go for it. You'll have a good day out.
FGH.... as they will shortly be saying in Eastbourne.

Due to NO additonal response the coach to Eastbourne has now been cancelled. Anyone who has put their name down for this coach will NEED to find alternative transport for this away fixture. Anyone who paid their deposit/full amount will have their money returned.

Quite a shock that one, thought this would be a popular away day trip on the coach but obviously not. If you wanted to go on the train then it would be like £35 so it doesn't really make sense that people wouldn't go for a measly £15. Also what does anyone think about putting a section up on the homepage about away travel prices and dates and leaving times with an update bit. I would have thought it would be easier to do update things like that on the homepage where anyone can access it than on here?
