Joined Cambridge City on loan, kind of inevitable, he hasn't played a league fixture this year and has hardly been in the squad at all. He's gone on the verge of joining Cambridge United to going on loan to Cambridge City. Just shows the talent Cambridge United set their sights on:P

Best Wishes Adie. Sorry that you are going (hopefully only for a while) and many people appreciate all that you have meant to Histon FC. What ever happens in the future you will always be a part of the Histon story. (Had hoped to see you playing for the Reserves at the GlassWorld this Saturday)

Abit harsh about (just shows the talent cambridge united set their sights on) after what Ada has done for us over the last 10 years. I hope he plays well for city so he shows he still is a class player (conference south player of the year 06/07) and forces his way back in the 1st team squad.

That's who our former manager wanted...no wonder he got sacked!
Just seen the league table, still eating our dust I see ;D

I bet footballing giants like Cambridge United are so proud to be 3 points ahead of a bus stop down the road from them.

Getting back to the subject of the thread, I wish Ady good luck at Cambridge City for his loan spell. Hopefully he'll gain match fitness and come steaming back into the Histon team particularly if, as has been recently hinted in the newspapers, we lose some midfielders in January.
If it turns out that the loan deal is made permanent then we will have to wave goodbye to a major contributor to Histon's recent success. His first team appearances, goals and captaincy will remain in the record books.
Either way - good luck Ady. You've been a star for Histon FC.
FGH.... as they were saying on Radio Cambs at 8.20am this morning.

He's only gone on loan for a month!?! I'm sure he will be back! He commited himself to club in the closed season and still has something to offer to the club! If there was odds on him i'd be putting my money on him coming back and fighting his way back into the First XI!! It could be the catalyst for him to fight for the place!!

A month at city may be good for him, to be honest it will give him a chance to regain match fitness as was said earlier. When he returns, which is most likely, he will be ready to fight his way back to the top of the blue square premier.
