Is this the new Official Club Song? The players entered the field at the beginning of both halves with Motorhead screaming out today, so I assume it is. There is an article in the latest issue of FGH suggesting a song for Histon (if you haven't read it, why not?), so it's good to know the club is taking notice of its fans.

Whoever made this choice? I was expecting the club to adopt something by some old timer singing about roses, but no. Excellent choice! This will catch on. I have a vision of the Main Stand Block D Massive all jumping to their feet and playing air guitar whilst nodding furiously like Status Quo groupies before the season is over. You mark my words. We'll be rocking in the Redgate even sooner!

And how appropriate are the words! We are, after all, a team of "Aces" and clubs coming down to the Glassworld these days often get "spade", and that isn't a pleasant experience, just ask my cat!

So, well done Histon. ROCK ON!!!

I think it should be decided by the players...after all its the music to get them going.

To be honest i dont think there should be a song playing i think that the players should run onto the pitch to the fans singing. But if there had to be a song i would say the eye of the tiger or something inspirational like that.

I'd say that, if we had fans singing.

There was nothing till the 2nd half and that nearly ended in a fight.

Yeah i suppose, but that is a quite unusual thing at our ground. But i think it would be a good idea to have the fans singing but we have to agree on one song to sing every time that is the only way i think it would work.

There is a trial idea to change the song each week. So if it's your birthday, or you have a guest who has travelled a long way to the match, or it's their first time... then they could get the honour of choosing the song.

That's what happened with The Ace Of Spades yesterday.

Oh fair enough, makes sense I suppose, but surely it would be a better idea to say choose five songs and get the club and the fans to decide maybe hand out a poll at half time or one week night. Just a suggestion.

Not sure that would work - too much organisation required.

I like the idea of a birthday treat selection, or a long-travelled fan choosing, or a dedication to your grandad etc...

Although my idea might not go down well with the youth , how about a well known song for Patrick Ada on Tuesday (assuming he is available to play! do our players get Paternity Leave?!)
