Good to see you're being proactive in terms of trying to get more fans to come along - the most powerful marketing tool a club has is it's own supporters. I respect those true Stute fans who are getting up off thier backsides to try and introduce new people to local football - respect to you all..!

d**n it i missed it!!.....how did it go? Hi Ben It was useful to have an initial meeting. It gave people a chance to hear the concerns about attendances and go away and think up ideas on how we can help to improve this. Cambridge United are really leading the way with their initiatives to invite new fans to their games. There's no reason why Histon. the new kids on the block, cannot do the same. We collected a list of names and contact details for those offering to help. We also passed around a form for people to note down any ideas no matter how whacky. Two solid actions were noted down and are being followed up by Mark and me. PM me if you want details. I personally think that our target should be to try and increase the average attendances, and maybe set an achievable, but challenging, figure to aim for. We can then coordinate the initiatives so that we ensure 1) people are sticking to their offers of specific jobs and 2) we're all singing from the same hymnsheet and efforts aren't duplicated. Hopefully we can organise a much shorter meeting fairly soon with some real targets and a set agenda to get the initiatives going. Finally - a big thank you to young Josh for your contribution to the marathon fund. Top lad... much apprecaited. I've acknowledged your donation on the sponsorship site: www.bmycharity.com/marathonftmCheers FTM could i help in this idea . i did not know there was a meeting on Thursday.

Yep I was at the meeting. Would just like to thank who ever put my name down for doing things for the Town Crier and Match Reports, I had to leave early so... It was good to see the supporters being so up-beat and realistic about what we as a club can achieve, and I would like to help Histon in anyway I can!
