Why, because it's fairly honest? I'd love it if you did bring 1,200, but it's just not realistic when Histon are not getting that at home and a large amount of your support is made up of Cambridge fans, who presumably will be going in the home end.
Nothing personal, and I don't really feel like an argument, I just felt some perspective was needed.

Being realistic, there were only 650 last year for the same fixture and Histon's gates have dropped. I can't see how that's going to nearly double it.
/ Slanging match.
U've also got to remember quite a few Histon fans sat in the south stand for the game, that's roughly 800.... Also, we are higher this year so we'll bring more, which will then probably reach up to 1,000

Our last attendance was 1,200 and something at home, and about 30 were away fans, so we can get that at home.
Were doing more now to bring in fans which hopefully should see our attendances stay around the 1,200-1,400 mark(obviously all of them won't go but i feel some people that dont go to home matches will go to that game away.
So potentially i think we could get 900/1,1000.
If only there was a way to count the away fans that go into the home end because they can't(dont want) to stand.

We have to remember though that Cambridge weren't playing last weekend and a fair few football "spectators" would have gone along to the Histon game just to see a top of the table game.
Obviously we'd love to see bigger gates at Histon and I know several fans are working to help the club achieve that. We can't compete with numbers against the Cambridges, Stevenages etc because we lack their history and previous success.
However, from little acorns do mighty oaks grow. Even Man Utd started somewhere. Let's concentrate on winning the two matches against Cambridge. What a fantastic achievement that would be, considering where both clubs were 15 years ago.

If only there was a way to count the away fans that go into the home end because they can't(dont want) to stand. Assuming you are talking about the Glass World, all the "away fans" entering through the "Visiting Supporters' Turnstiles" (for most games ) have the option of standing behind the goal or sitting along the far side in the Hills Partnership covered seating area. In fact many are pleasantly surprised that we dont charge extra for sitting! (Different arrangements for the big local derby!) Of course some "away" & " neutrals" will go through the Home gates & pay extra to sit in the Redgate. Yes, there were more than a hundred Crawley supporters at the game. They seemed to be mainly the more mature & family people (and lots of ladies) who obviously are less noisey than the "tanked up lads" that come with some other Clubs. (No offence to ....... !!!!) But in any case the Crawley Management make up for their lack of noise!!

For New Years Day game, clubsite says '....Tickets are at the usual prices.....' Does this include the usual Junior Stutes arrangement of £1 and can I advance buy at this price?. Yes you will be able to buy a Junior Stute ticket for New Years Day for £1 in advance.

If your going to make a point make sure you get your facts right! ;D "Att: 1,256 (including away fans 140)" Link: www.histonfc.co.uk/matchreport.php?id=277 Also I understand the "Mens conference" and other local football teams that came got in for free which I'm guessing was around 70 all together? Also as Ftm stated, a lot of football spectators from United would have been there so.

Those at the mens conference didn't get in free, most of the conference fee was for a match ticket. But I should think that at least half of the delegates didn't exit the ground and re-enter via the turnstile with their ticket (as they were already in the ground), so the attendance at the match should perhaps be higher than the figure quoted.

Still a very good home attendance when you see the likes of Grays only mananged 500-odd, Jamie. For what its' worth U's ticket sales for both matches have been very brisk at the Abbey today, which with over two months before the games is a really good sign and hopefully that additional local interest whick saw cracking gates for both matches is still there.
