Well unless I've interpreted it wrong the homepage says the replay will be on Tuesday. If that is indeed true that could be a good time to play them, if both teams get a good draw tomorrow then they could bring a few, but then again maybe not.
4 hours and on a Tuesday night, but if they have been billing todays game as their biggest game for 50 years then they might bring a couple.

Arrived just as the teams kicked off, hardly able to speak from cheering at the previous match. Wind ruins football games and I think Histon struggled with the conditions. When we passed the ball along the ground we looked more dangerous. Overall I thought Durham deserved their draw and replay.
Cracking free kick for their first equaliser. At least we get another match to watch. I think on our own ground, in calmer conditions that we should beat Durham. Although I bet they put up a good fight. Histon looked visibly physically stronger, but that will be due to excellent training and fitness regimes.
From a business point of view I was wondering about a couple of things. Firstly, with both teams being part-time, will any of the players struggle to get days off work at such short notice? I know that I would. Also, if the crowd is quite small and (as I understand it) the match takings are split between the two clubs after match expenses, then will it actually cost either of the clubs to play this match rather than actually earn them revenue?
Just in case anybody missed the earlier result - Sunderland beat Newcastle 2-1.

Hats off to the photographer! Cracking photo. For anybody who wishes to play "spot the ball" and see if they can do better than Shay Given, I'll give you a clue... it's breaking the back of the net! Check out the crowd.... a split second later the place absolutely erupted. It was even louder than The Glass World when Histon score!! I like to call this photo "The Calm Before The Storm". Final score - SUNDERLAND 2 NEWCASTLE 1FGH.... as they were shouting at The Stadium of Light yesterday.

Well done for your 2 1 yesterday ftm. The prize for the replay is the 12.5k. Also if we can get some advertising out as early as possible, should get a few more punters through the turn styles. It should be a cracking game up there with Crawley Town.

cracking picture ftm! not the best of games for either team. the wind was ridiculous and the pitch was on a slant. this was obviously a problem for both teams, as it wasn't durham's home ground! i don't think any of the histon fans who travelled up there, and may i say how delighted i was to see so many!, could deny durham a draw. their fighting spirit was fantastic, reminiscent of us in previous seasons. They had some very good players too. their two centre halves were both quality in the air, and their number 11 was top notch. I honestly believe if he worked on his fitness, or was given the opportunity to by going to a 'bigger' club, he could potentially make football league! Their fans were pretty good too, they enjoyed the banter, and were appreciative, as we were, for a classic cup tie. thank goodness it wasn't a complete banana skin. we are in the hat @ 1pm so lets hope for a decent tie to strive our boys on to win on tuesday!

Brilliant photo Ftm. And I would have thought you would be quite privileged to have seen a goal like that as they don't come around too often. They clocked it as going a mighty 55mph which is quite an understatement I thought about how hard he hit that!
Couple of things I would just like to ask about, did you notice how much litter there was on the pitch yesterday? I mean the wind would have been a problem but other teams like Blackburn and the likes seemed to cope with it well? I was frankly appauled by it as most of it seemed to be coming from the toon end!
Also was the abuse at Barton that bad? It seemed quite nasty from the stuff on MOTD.
Anyway back to Histon, a good result in my books. I'm of course disappointed we couldn't hold on for the win, but they seemed like a good side and a game back at our place will be good for the club income (well I hope so) and might ensure a large(ish) crowd.
If we get a good draw today then I would have thought a lot of people will be keen to get down to the Glassworld. Hopefully anyway.

I mean the wind would have been a problem but other teams like Blackburn and the likes seemed to cope with it well? I was frankly appauled by it as most of it seemed to be coming from the toon end! Also was the abuse at Barton that bad? It seemed quite nasty from the stuff on MOTD. Jamie The litter can be a problem when the wind swirls in from the sea. Unusually, the pitch and changing rooms at Sunderland are actually below ground level, so the stadium inside is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. When it gets really windy like it was yesterday the wind currents gather together the rubbish into two distinct places on the pitch. And obviously with with Newcastle United fans visiting that particular day the situation wasn't helped. Re: That horrible piece of work Barton - What probably isn't captured on the MotD cameras is Joey Barton's grinning, winking, kissing his badge and the "come on then" hand gestures towards the Sunderland fans. He claims to be a changed character but he almost started a riot. Inexcusable that a couple of idiotic Sunderland fans ran onto the pitch at the end to tease the Newcastle fans. However, emotions do run high in such matches. The atmosphere and tension was electric and the noise at the final whistle was ear-splitting. I also hope the Newcastle fans who ripped out seats and threw them into the Sunderland fans where children were sitting are caught on CCTV. We were lucky that none of them were seriously hurt. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the Durham replay now. I've just been reminded by the wife that it's her birthday that day and we have people coming round for dinner. Sometimes having over 35 years of experience can be a good thing. I've decided not to appeal, I don't think it would be wise!

dont believe there will be a big crowd on tuesday, considering it was their biggest game for 50 years yesterday and 250 odd turn up! cant see them bringing any down at all as work night, 4 hours each way etc. 700 max.!

There were concerns that because gate reveniew is split between the 2 teams, we wolud lose money. However, the players are paid weekly not every match, so we will actually be making more oney, so no concerns about losing any money
