Hi histonfan1988, This involves watching the game and then nominating who, in your opinion, was the most outstanding player. This player is known as the 'Man of the Match' or MOM or MOTM for short. Sometimes he is also known as the 'Player of the Game' or POG or POTG for short. The american football or baseball equivalent is known as the MVP or 'Most Valuable Player' See these pages on wiki for more information en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_of_the_matchen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Most_Valuable_Player

Yeah I'll do it if you want Steve.

Thanks the dc007. When i said what does this involve i was not asking what man of the match is i think after 20 years of football i would have probably sussed that by now. I was simply askin if it involved going on to the pitch or presenting the award. Anyway seems as if Mr smith has pipped me to the post!!!!
