Great news. More Income. More publicity. (Before some joker from across the A14 says it - "It must be because we are playing CUFC " !!!! ) Those few United fans who don't wish to be seen at Histon have no reason to stand on the bridge now!!

I'm pretty sure one live game is included in the Setanta payment package - you only get more money if you're on more than once. The U's will get an extra payment for it being on the telly-vision and, as you say, will save those who are choosing to "boycot" the game from getting cold and wet on the bridge!
Everybody wins!

(Before some joker from across the A14 says it - "It must be because we are playing CUFC " !!!! ) You'd have thought they would have learned from last year match, which would have terrible to watch as a neutral. Still, I suppose the 'media derby' angle works. There is one problem, what do you do if you want to boycott Histon & Satanta?

I just hope the Setanta influence doesn't run out. My memory is that we usually win on Setanta & that CUFC usually don't!!!

Will be good publicity if we can do them again in front of the Setanta cameras.
Also Setanta subscriptions seem to be declining slightly from articles I've read, due to the credit crunch and the poor viewing quality so I wouldn't have thought it will effect the gate too much.
Plus alot of the United supporters I'm sure are decent enough to at least attend the game, and I know a certain few that won't want to lose their 100% attendance at United games this year over a petty squabble about not being able to see the game! ;D
