Match report from club website by Howard Wilkins
The Under 18's started their Thurlow Nunn Youth League North Division campaign with a 4-2 win at Swaffham Town last night.
First Year Scholars Spencer Saberton, George Root and Jordan Leech-Levy all made their first starts for the club whilst Michael King and Luke Brown were both on the bench.
It was Leech-Levy that opened the scoring on 10 minutes, latching onto a loose ball to finish confidently past the home keeper but the hosts drew level on 32 minutes and went ahead just before half time before Charlie Naylor equalised in stoppage time.
Coach Jack Cassidy made a number of changes in the second half, using the rolling substitutes rule to good effect but it wasn't until the 78th minute that Luke Brown nodded home at the far post that we regained the lead. Peter Clark then made sure of the points when he finished calmly after some good work in the box to make it 4-2 in the 89th minute.
Cassidy will be pleased with this first league performance of the season and will be encouraged by the performances all over the pitch, which included promising debuts for a number of our new First Year Scholars.
