Lets hope that after tomorrow us fans can find out the state of the club and any plans for the future/upcoming season. Really do hope for some good news but I wont hold my breath. If anyone hears anything and are not confined to silence then updates on here would be much appreciated! Thanks.

From memory, the formal, rather dry, business was: - The 9 previous major shareholders have all now surrendered their shares.
- There are now just over 5000 issued shares in the Club, with 35 shareholders. Most shareholders hold 50 or 100 shares with one holding 1000 and another 450.
- From now on, no one shareholder will be allowed to hold more than 20% of the issued shares, so that ownership remains distributed and in that sense the club will be a 'community' club.
- A resolution will be circulated for voting by shareholders that proposes that the 9 previous major shareholders be offered 100 shares each FOC as recognition of their action.
- A second resolution will be circulated for voting by shareholders that proposes that HIST be offered some shares (again, 100 was mentioned) as recognition for their efforts and donations since foundation
- As all Directors had resigned, the shareholders voted a new board into place: David Humm, John Hall, Joy Mansfield and Richard Barlow. The first three are previous directors, the last is a member of the HIST board (but joins the HFC board as an individual, not - officially - as a representative of HIST).
On behalf of the board, David Humm then gave a brief presentation, the significant elements were: - An appeal for more volunteers to join the HFC management team, as Directors or otherwise
- An appeal for more helpers in any capacity
- The initial focus of the new board will be raising funds, raising sponsorship, getting ready for the new season, improving PR & Marketing and improving communications with the fans
As outgoing Chairman, Russell Hands was asked about the debt situation. He said that by the start of the new season, the remaining debt will be reduced to a 'minimal amount'. Though no definitive figures were mentioned, the figures quoted added up to much less than £10000. The club also has yet to plant some new trees.

PS- forgot to mention that there was loose talk from the new Board about holding a fans forum in the near future.

Thanx for your 'report' Marxian on behalf of the fans and onlookers such as myself!x If I read between the lines then perhaps you weren't inspired to new belief levels....but there is room for some optimisim....if the Moguls comments are acted upon!x The 9 previous major shareholders have all now surrendered their shares."Thanks to them for allowing a new start!x "There are now just over 5000 issued shares in the Club, with 35 shareholders. Most shareholders hold 50 or 100 shares with one holding 1000 and another 450."...."From now on, no one shareholder will be allowed to hold more than 20% of the issued shares, so that ownership remains distributed and in that sense the club will be a 'community' club."A fairly wide distribution which is good....however.....whilst the initial sentiments of the 20% clause are commendable...a club not too far away had a similar policy which was steam rolled through with lies and skullduggery with promises of this and that as a result in voting down this anti dictorial 20% clause.....after the shareholders were duped....none of the promises happened and those who conspired to 'rob' the shareholders profited from it immensely....since they are the major shareholders in the 40+ year lease CUFC Ltd own today....worth Millions actually! It left the club in the hands of an individual who sadly had no real interest in the club any longer. It could be you....still....so keep an ear and eye on it!!!x On that note....... "As all Directors had resigned, the shareholders voted a new board into place: David Humm, John Hall, Joy Mansfield and Richard Barlow. The first three are previous directors, the last is a member of the HIST board (but joins the HFC board as an individual, not - officially - as a representative of HIST)."A big thank you to David...John...Joy and Richard for putting their name to it so to speak!x Richard's role is a super one. He can be trusted to be wearing the fans bobble hat in his endeavours but offering the required barrier/arms length when dealing with club issues of a more professional/discreet nature. DMJ the Chairman of CFU has held a similar position for years and done well overall considering what he's had to endure! Great stuff!x An appeal for more helpers in any capacityI hope this net fingy and it's users is included in the list of capacity's....!x Thanx again Marxian....much appreciated!x LUV SOOTY X Joy for Joy.......she's a Lady init....I know there's equality and all that....but....it don't stop me being a Gentleman does it?!x @@ ~ ....X EDIT!x I forgot to ask Marxian....was there any mention of a more integrated involvement with City etc?x

Not much discussion of any management issues, on or off the field, at that meeting. We'll just have to wait and see. As far as I know we're still ground sharing with City next season - that's all.

Sounds promising, I just hope this is an end to off field problems. Will be nice returning to a state where we can just focus on and enjoy the football!

"Michael Tolond (company secretary) talking about the meeting here."
Super stuff Michael and I think Nick the host....nice interview and chat!x I like the bit about Russell staying on in the friendly role of holding the Chair when the need arises! I have promoted 'do away with a Board' and run by 'committee' and utilise all available resources for all clubs over the past 10+ years.....and this is certainly as 'open' a situation as you can get at present....well done all!x LUV SOOTY X
