Hello. Your friendly local Colchester United fan here. You may remember me popping up after Kinsella moved to be our #2. As you may have seen we've just signed Dan Holman from Braintree - after he didn't renew his contract (sorry about that, gather you had a sell-on clause).

I'm aware he had a spell with the Stutes so wondered what your thoughts on him were? And what 'sort' of player he is? He doesn't look like a target-man type; so is he a traditional 'number 10' or something else? If you had to liken him to a Premier League/famous player, which'd you choose?

Well when he was with us in the connie north he was an out and out goalscorer. He bagged 29 goals in a team that finished 16th (I think) which is some feat. From memory his positional sense was very good, was fairly pacey, not bad in the air and he had a powerful and very accurate shot on him. Was surprised he didnt feature more in braintree's starting eleven? I think give him a game or two to come to terms with the higher level col u play at and you could have a prolific goalscorer on ur hands. He's defo worth a shot anyway and goodluck to him !
