Having gone to Arelsey, I came away hugely frustrated. Nice little ground, nice setup. Arelsey were not a strong side at all and were there for the beating. And that is what we should have done. We outplayed them for almost all the match, passed the ball much better and created sufficient chances to win the match. Akintunde missed a sitter from a few yards out, open goal but got the ball stuck under his feet. Felt a bit sorry for him as the miss looked worse than it was, but is sums up our predicament. We need a goal scorer. We had plenty of possesion and shots on target from outside the box. But if we continue to give the opposition 2 goals headstart with such awful defending then we will not win another match this season. Arelsey barely had a shot on target other than the two goals. They were a very average side, we made them look poor but we couldn't find a way to win the match.
A special mention for Peter Clark who was magnificent. It was a pleasure to watch him play. I don't think he gave the ball away all game unnecessarily. He used the ball well, brought his colleagues into play, went forward with purpose and won the ball back when out of possession.
To be frank, I can't see a solution in the short term. We have too many inexperienced players, but we need to get behind the team. They are trying but inevitably will reach a point when their heads drop if these tive results continue.

totally agree with marke. Peter Clark was excellent. they had two chances which with better defending would have been dealt with. other than that there was no threat from arlesey. Good to see a number of us behind the goal away from home. have been rather lonely there at a few matches. we all stayed behind the team but apologies to anyone who was in range of me letting out my frustrations at the end of the match. it has to come out sometime. Definitely wasn't hoofball or the other stuff the group who obviously have an agenda are writing about on the other thread. Yes we put it forward to Akintunde but he can and did hold up the ball well. shame he couldn't score. we also drove the ball forward from midfield. so were using more than just on e plan in trying to open them up.

Your post 'suffolkwilk' is a little bit confusing, becuase I have just checked the 'other post' and nowhere has 'hoofball' been mentioned in relation to the Arelsey game so I don't really understand your point and as for an 'agenda' the only agenda I can see is that certain individuals do not like the supporters having their views heard, what would you prefer, a few 'negative' comments on the message board (after all that's what a message board is partially for) or vocal negativety towards the players/manager on match day or even worse supporters not attending games because they feel they can't have a view?
The supporters are the life blood of the club, attending games and ultimately paying the players/mangers wages so personaly I dont think there is any agenda from a few comments from people who are not happy with how things are at the moment.

There is no agenda, people just want to see the team playing the style that the club was known for and people enjoyed watching. If we lose then there is no shame in doing so by trying to play entertaining football and with some fight. People had/have just got fed up with the long ball stuff that was happening all the time. On Saturday if the team knocked the ball about on the floor and actually created some good chances then that is great news. Might result in some points!! The long stuff definitely wasn't working, nor was it good to watch.
