Wishing you all the best guys - Brian and the lads.
Just a thought. Today should be 3 points and with a bit of luck, they will do it. But how can they continue getting points with a management team that is totally adrift from its supporters and community, fail to communicate on anything unless it suits them and are now playing exceptional young talent at a 'cloggers' level with (again) one of the lowest player's budgets in the league.
You guys on the board are in charge... have a heart. You have some great talent in front of your eyes and a superb passionate manager (as noted at the last AGM). At least get behind them. If your inaptitude and lack of communication spans to the players and manager in the same way it does to your fans, it is a sorry state with little reason to increase the 103 supporters recorded at the last home game.
Board - listen closely - we want you to succeed. We want to support every thing the club does. But it's a two way process. Get of your backsides and remind us a few times who runs the club because these last few months I have forgotten. Be visible. Get rid if that 'morgue' feeling when you enter the golden gates of the Glass World stadium. Give us a reason to want to be there 30 minutes early filled with excitement. Make me feel that I belong to the club. My levels of expectation are low, but you have certainly gone well below my bar of minimum acceptability, who ever you are.

Didn't go today. Went to watch the U's, but wish I'd gone to the GW. Great 3 points. Well done. Histon are doing really well under the circumstances. The locals really should give them more support. With a budget of about one third of that what City enjoy, it's good. Although it's such a poor standard of football (relatively speaking), that a bigger budget should be questioned. If the Stutes can just consolidate this season and stay up(which they should now), the Club should easily maintain this level. The festive derby should attract a good attendance I reckon, and the way things are going presently, the result will not be so decisive as before. Currently, City are struggling desperately, with a serious malaise apparent throughout the Club.. Their superiority, still sadly felt by a few die-hards, has gone. Histon and City are now equal in most respects. This League will probably be the best both Clubs can expect.

I've said it before, City and Histon should have merged. It is true, there has been hardly anything from the club recently and even on the website there isn't a lot going on, the odd news update about match postponements. I don't think I've even seen anything advertising when the next home game is. Stick a board out the front of the Glassworld or something. So what if it annoys City, it's our ground, we should be advertising our matches on the gates, outside the gates, in the village AND IN THE GROUND!!! Stick posters up in tesco in Histon, in the chip shop, in the pubs, anywhere that places will let the club!! Things haven't been helped by all the glory hunters going to watch Utd at the Shabbey Stadium. The club should be working far harder to get fans back. On the website, get more news stories posted, there are newspaper reports about our games, why aren't there links on the website to the reports? The days of relying on word of mouth are long gone, we need more of a presence on the internet and out and about in the local area!!
That being said, good win today. Second half Banbury didn't really threaten. Good to see their mouthy keeper mess up for the third, awful attempt at stopping the ball. Should have been an easyish save, but he deserved to mess up after mouthing off.

Important win today, but must continue it on Tuesday. I get people's points about the club not interacting with fans enough, I hardly ever see the board members, but we're there to cheer on the lads, not for the board. Whatever happens to the club, whoever is in charge, I'll always support the team. Let's hope the board begin to make themselves known to supporters and make the club more welcoming again. A lot of the football has been route one and I disagree with Brian that we had a good performance on Tuesday, we made very hard work of it in the second half. I also see lots of comments about Brian and Lance's attitudes on the touchline - I understand that they aren't setting the greatest example with there constant appealing, however they've been magnificent for our club and Brian deserves so much credit for this turn around in the league - I was seriously worried we would get something like 10 points all season after the first 5 games, however he's made some brilliant signings and the coaching has been top notch - I also understand the frustration, a lot of the referees and linesmen we have had have missed some very obvious decisions but the reactions to these decisions on the touch lines can't be helping the players on the pitch. They are still very young coaches and with experience they'll be able to channel that frustration, so things should get better from here and hopefully we can start getting points away from home as well as continuing our brilliant home run! Come on you Stutes!
