Please tell me the score is a bad dream. How can they let in 7?

Just heard some idiot on Radio Cambridgeshire say that it was " no disgrace to lose 7-2 to Truro". What? Then Roberts saying that for any club ground sharing, the thing to do is avoid relegation! He really is the master of spin. IS IT ANY WONDER THAT OUR TWO NON LEAGUE CLUBS CAN'T FIND MORE THAN 300 FANS BETWEEN THEM? ? Wonder how many fans will bother on Boxing Day? Both managers safe in their jobs just as long as their clubs don't get relegated, it seems.

Do we really believe Mr Kearns has looked in the direction of Impington?

I heard it was 7 lucky breakaways!! Lol Have to laugh or you'll cry. On the bright side all the teams around us lost. The reason we will stay up is that there are worse teams than us - I know that's hard to believe after a thrashing! Do we expect to beat the teams near the top?? I personally don't expect too much. Our improvement has been down to beating the teams around us, any points from the top 8 are just a bonus. Just hope we can do City on Boxing day, we owe them!! Merry Xmas

Now what is the correct words to describe the performance today.. RUBBUSH, C**P, LOSERS, NONSENSE, END-OF-THE ROAD, LOWEST POINT.. Oh! I give up. I'm off down the pub to sink 7.

Paul I've been reading your comments and they are nearly all negative. It's almost as if you are a supporter from another club on here to just be negative about Histon. People on here are negative when things are bad, as I was about the rubbish we were seeing last seeing and at the start of this, but you take it to an all new level. It is almost as if you are on here to just slaughter the club, players, manager, board etc.

Tell me how well the club is doing financially and I will consider being positive.

I have to agree with ewc999 and eggandfoot. I haven't posted on here for ages but the nonsense posted by paulriley has changed that. He sounds more like a spoilt 14 year old boy than a grown man. I also find it laughable he seems to make up his own rumours then gets cross when the club don't respond to them. He certainly doesn't sound like a Histon fan, As for the football , yes Saturday's result was disappointing but we are in a much better place than we could have hoped to be just a couple of months ago. As a small village side I think we do well to be in this league , regardless of our Conference years which are behind us for now.

just like many others.. accept where we are... no ambition. And by the way your comment "the club don't respond to them". I think you are a million miles of course with this one. When was the last time the club communicated to the fans? How big is the debt at the club? etc etc... 14 year old questions hey? Grow up Northern boy.

Well it is clear you have your own agenda here and do not want to share it with us. I would love to see us back in the Conference but it isn't going to happen unless a millionaire decides to buy the club , meanwhile I am happy the club is still going , unlike Hereford which has just folded. We all know the club has little money so I don't know why you think they should give you a weekly update of how much they have in the bank.

Paul you sound like a bitter former board member, bleating on about the board and finances. Baldwin, Dama, Fallon or someone from that regime that left on bad terms. If you aren't happy about Histon and don't want to pay to go and watch, preferring to go and watch Cambridge United, then I suggest you go and spend your time on their board and discuss them as you'll have first hand knowledge of the team. You're just sounding petulant and bitter with your latest posts.
The club does have ambition, the ambition this year was to stabilise and stop the rot, which it has done so far. £10 to watch Histon, well considering some Ridgeons League teams charge over a fiver to watch that level, £10 isn't that bad. Go and complain about those costs on their boards. The team let in 7 yesterday, so the team should do what, sack players and the manager? Sunderland conceded 8 against Southampton and could afford to sack players and the manager, but they didn't and have just won today. Brian now has the chance to correct the failings that resulted in 7 goals in time for the next game and going forwards. Most of the squad are very early 20's or younger so they may well make mistakes. Give them time to develop as a squad, get better as a team and you never know, next season we might be a lot higher up the league. If we repeatedly conceded 7 goals then questions would be asked of Brian and the players, but one game against a team near the top and a fair old trek away, not likely. Just questions on how to not let it happen again and to fix the issues.

Yes our away form has to improve and yes fans will feel a little let down from yesterdays result, especially ones who went (I salute you whoever you are) but saying "it's just getting worse" what ? no. If you had bothered to pay attention we were in the relegation zone for a fair bit of the beginning of the season, we had 3 points from our first 9 games, where were you then Paul? Obviously we were a lot more in the schtuk than we are now. Yes we got thrashed yesterday but we got hammered 6-0 by city and we responded including beating Weymouth (arguably the giants of this league 3-0). I have no doubt that yesterday hurt everyone at the club but flippant comments of "it's getting worse" helps no one. If we were getting thrashed week in week out then you'd have a point but we're not.
