Who exactly are you paulriley? You appear from nowhere and seem to have taken over the noticeboard with your fabricated nonsense and negative comments. You are certainly not a Histon FC fan.

I only ask you guys to do one thing... stop the passionate bleating about supporting the club. Open your eyes and see what is going on. HFC could have still been in the Conf premier if it wasn't for a number of fundamental mistakes and errors of judgment (post Baldwin's thingy-ups and debt escalation). Face the facts. Address the problems and get the club moving up.
We have what we have. But direction of the club will slowly build it back over a long timescale. Cut out the fundamental mistakes or misunderstandings and the club will make it. HFC has a few things that many others don't have. Its youth policy is superb. But its twittered away whet the lads get older.
I really wish HFC does make it. But there are some fundamental changes of attitude that are needed to do so. But 7 let in yesterday has to be near rock bottom. And nobody seems to flick an eyelash (certainly not a characteristic of winners).
So I wish the club all the best for Christmas. My job was to open eyes. I hope it has for it would be worth it if HFC gets back into the Conference.

Who is anyone on these football forums, anyway? Why can't you all identify yourselves? Does it matter? Whoever Paul Riley is, he gives a name. Maybe it's real. Maybe it's not. But he gives an opinion. Why should anyone castigate him for that? He's not being abusive or offensive. Just giving an opinion. Is posting on here, but not attending matches in protest, not better than not showing any interest whatsoever? Don't let this forum get like City's, where any opinion , not endorsed by the half dozen or so regulars protective of the status quo, is attacked with relentless viciousness. Give everyone a voice. This forum has not been so active for months. Isn't that good? Despite some negativity, the young players have not been criticised by anyone, as far as I can see. And nor should they. There are other aspects where criticism might be justifiable. It's not being negative! Just giving an opinion. Allow alternative opinions, one and all, and carry on giving them. That's what I say.

Ps. Merger? Are you joking? For heavens sake, why would Histon move from their superb Bridge Road Ground that costs them barely nothing, to an outpost like Sawston? ?? City will become Sawston FC is due course, with little or no connection with the great history and tradition of the Club it once was.

Merger? Cannot see it. Paul Riley? Wind up merchant or passionate fan ?I don't know but a breath of fresh air .PR is raising valid points and I think the reason both Histon and City are drifting aimlessly is because the supporters views are not heard or acknowledged by the Board members at their respective clubs. If everyone accepts the unacceptable you will eventually die. I can see no sign of City or Histon stirring from their stupor. Both clubs need direction and the clear out starts at the top. I saw the word stagnating on a previous thread and that sums up the clubs. CliveH and Paul are active and they care enough to make their points. Please don't shoot them down just engage them or two more clubs will not fulfill their potential.

In my experience of life ManchesterStute, there are only 'the few' that make things happen. Opening eyes? I gave up 'sharing' pert knowledge/information to the mass fans yeeeears ago, I just 'do' now. Up United, when it has really counted in the past 14 years, I can name those who 'helped' constructively to get where the club is today, indeed even be here. There are less than 5 on that list MS, 2 of whom weren't 'fans'. 'Leadership', sticking your head above the parapet and facing ignorance generally is not for the faint hearted or turner uppers at games. It takes...a uniqueness...confidence...belief in oneself and a solid foundation of wanting to 'serve' your fellow man, despite them. Dotty stuff. Not many of those strutting terraces...tbf. There are not many in life of that ilk full stop. Yes talk is cheap.....but silence nearly cost U's fans everything. Some of what Paul has said is outright misery....but....there is valid comment among it too...I suggest!x * /\ @@ ~ LUV SOOTY X ....I will be back for.....hmmmmm....12....I reckon!x ".-.. ..- ...- ... --- --- - -.-- -..-"........that's LUV SOOTY X...in Morse Code MS......................-----!!!!!!x A forgotten language....I gather......hehe!!x
