Didn't go myself, but thoughts from those that did?
Not a good result at all given our current position. We scored, so going forward we must have been better surely?? But 4 goals conceded against Frome is not good. Looks like we may have started 3-5-2 from the recent 4-5-1. Last Games for Loew and Gerrar today, they will be huge losses, both have been excellent for us. Hopefully we get a decent keeper and not go back to Enol Ordonez. Peter Clark is back playing, so hopefully he can step in for Lowe.

Bit harsh on Ordonez, who IMO is a perfectly good keeper for this level. The real trouble is our defence relies on having an outstanding keeper - and even Gerrar has made some howlers.

No one can deny that the Stutes have a tough tough 3 months or so till the end of the season. It will be even tougher without Gerrar, but is there no opportunity to extend the loan? He has won a few points, and has a promising future, though there are obvious weaknesses in his game. He's only a kid, let's face it. From what I've seen of Enol, I think he's good enough, yet some have always been over critical. They really needed a point at Frome yesterday, but we'll see every one of those bottom 7 or 8 really fighting for their lives from now on. There will be no easy points, not so much because of standards; more so that every match down there will be a dogfight. More and more is expected of Brian Page with all this in mind, but if anyone can keep the team up, it is him. Reckon he earns every penny Histon pay him.

We've lost 7 out of the last 8 away games, but lost none (and won 6) of the last 8 at home. It seems clear we don't travel well We will have to see if Brian has managed to retain any of the loanees by who turns up for the next match. History suggests nothing about it will appear anywhere else.

Hi, Frome fan here, I come in peace. Our game with you yesterday was an absolutely must win for us . Your keeper was involved in a comedy of errors for our first goal . He kicked the ball from the ground straight to one of our players who was 20-25 yards out, our player immediately took a shot which was, I have to say, rather a poor effort but your keeper was back peddaling and somehow fell over, the ball bobbled over his prone body and into the net. But he made up for his blunder in the second half by making two blinding saves ,one of which our striker Lewis Haldane curled the ball towards the top left corner, it looked a goal all the way but your keeper made a magnificent save. Had we scored it would have made it 4-1 and game over but you went down the other end and made it 3-2 and game definitely on. If its true that yesterday was the keepers last game then you have a hell of a job to replace him. I believe we will both stay up, for us we have far more home games than away to play thanks to supreme Southern League fixture planning and the fact that we now have three excellent strikers at the club, Lewis Haldane, Bristol Rovers, Ollie Taylor,Wycombe Wanderers and Jake Harris, Newport County.Taylor and Haldane both found the net yesterday . Hope you had a decent afternoon at our club and hope to see some of you next season.

That's nice, isn't it? Shows that fans of opponents can be pleasant, eh? Not used to this, personally. And good luck to Frome Town, too, I say.

A good read, thank you for posting.
From a Histon point of view it reads that the first half wasn't very good at all, but the second was much better. A bit worrying that when we were on top Denzel Gerrar was still needed to make vital saves. Hopefully in future games when we are dominating we don't allow the other team good chances. It happened against City. We were probably the best team up to our goal, but even though we were on top City were the ones who created two good scoring chances and should have been leading themselves. Something that hopefully can be sorted out as the youngsters get better and better.
I know the reporter is local and may well favour the local side more than the away, but it does seem that Frome were the better team overall and deserved the win. A shame from a Histon point of view, it's the type of game we should be making sure that we are the better team and get the win, like the Banbury game. The away form is a concern though. If the home form drops then we could be in trouble again, but on the flip side if the away side improves and matches the home then we could get well away from trouble, heres hoping.
Good luck to Frome for the rest of the season Fromeonian!
