I see we have also brought in a young striker from Cambridge (Ayrton Bevins) and a midfielder from Biggleswade (Sam Ives). I remember Sam being a very good player for United. So, hopefully this will strengthen us but I do worry we may end up with a disjointed mess.

Don't know anything about the lad Bevins, but is it patently clear that Sam Ives needs a manager who can understand him and his character. Hopefully Brian will succeed there where others have not had the patience, nor the ability to cope with a lad with undoubted talent, but somehow lacking somewhere. Time is, sadly, tight, as Booker T & the MG's suggested.

Only seen him once but his talent is obvious. And for his sake, I hope I'm right. I daren't think what the opposition will do in this SLP to deal with the lad.
Well cliveh I see Peter wasn't even in the squad last night, didn't look injured, wonder what he did to upset the powers that be? Be interesting to see what happens on Sat, otherwise it doesn't look good for the lad given all the recent signings which would be a real shame. Bet it's knocked his confidence for six which won't help either! Good point though, could easily have lost that one.

Must surely be a good reason. The lad is something special. Must be on the radar of other clubs. Once again though, information to the fans not deemed essential, sadly. Yes, another point closer to safety.

Dreadful gate of 152 to see a lightweight Histon side battle to a point against a very direct , physical Slough Town outfit.Slough should have won it but Ordonez came up with some vital saves.Ives looked good and the whole team gave their all. Better performance from Nick Freeman,Beavons played out of position ?, and a quiet debut for Augur.Until Histon get a real striker they will struggle to get many points . Where are all the fans ? These young men need some vocal support to keep their admirable home run going and to achieve eventual safety.

Great last ditch defending saved us last night. 3 cleared off the line, countless shots blocked and Erol made several good saves. You really can't fault our defending and commitment in the box, but on another night we could have been humiliated. We gave the ball away all night and didn't close down their wingers. Too many long hopeful balls forward. On a positive note, Sam Ives looked very good when he came on. Miles Smith played very well in a defensive midfield position. But not a great performance, Slough will be scratching their heads wondering how they failed to win.

Unfortunately I couldn't make it as usual but I heard we sat far to deep which is disappointing to hear. I understand we need to keep the points ticking and after our slight dip in form then maybe that what Brian had in mind but I would have thought with our new signings we would have been gunning for blood last night? But a points a point and I will stick my neck out and say we're about another 10/15 from safety. It's going to be a really tough game Saturday and I can only see us getting thumped if we decide to sit too deep again. By all means play on the break perhaps but lets not defend the whole game camped in our box! Looking forward to it and I hope we have a better turn out! #COYS

I think the real problem was having too many new players introduced at once to the team. There was no understanding or cohesion.
