I've just looked a the remaining fixtures, and if I was a pessimist I might find trouble thinking where we would get another point !! We really are in a dogfight now with Arlesey and Biggleswade, and neither of them could have such a tough run-in as ours. Any other thoughts?

We don't look like scoring and could barely get 13 players for a game, that is poor. Interesting to know how severe the injuries and illnesses were to miss the game? I saw on another thread that Matty Waters is on dual registration, now if we're struggling for players why not call him back for the game and possibly others if they're on similar arrangements??
We needs goals and to tighten up defensively. Even Arlesy created a number of chances against us and should have taken them. Nick Freeman has gone back to his form of last season (trying to take on the world), Eugene doesn't offer much out wide and our loan forwards don't really seem like they're ever going to score, granted the service isn't good recently. Curtis Fulcher is a definite miss in midfield. We have two good full backs now, a decent shot stopper in goal (minus the bizarre moments), our two centre backs (When they play) do look very vulnerable to a ball behind them. Rogan McGeorge works hard in the middle. Auger and Ives look like good players. But out wide and up top we don't look like scoring or creating anything more than half chances, besides the odd wonder moment like Salim the other night.
There's not much time left and 6 points is not a safe margin. If the team gets relegated then what will happen? The standard will be even worse and so will the attendance and finances. Something needs to change to get some positive results!!

Away trips to Burnham and Banbury are winable if we can sort out our away form. But if we can't win one of those it could be squeaky bum time. We have some tough home games, but I think we'll pick up a few points.

Looking deeper into the remaining fixtures, it occurs to me that, despite our very poor away form, our best chances of points are actually on our travels. We have some seriously tough home matches between now and the end of the season, BUT.... If we can win at Burnham and Banbury we'll stay up, I reckon. Our destiny is still in our own hands. However, I don't believe that if relegation occurs it will be the end of the world. As long as Brian and Lance, and the basis of this team all stay. There's much about this set-up that is exciting, but it's two years too early, in my opinion. I really believe that if we stay up, we can be in the mix for play-offs this time next year. If we happen to be relegated I really think we'll make an instant return, just as long as the nucleus remain. This League is very poor considering the expectations and money many Clubs throw at it. Yet it is still a League that has great history. Histon FC are on a level with many Clubs with a great history and tradition. The Conference days were a dream come true, and can never be taken away, but it was never going to continue. When there are only two senior Clubs in Cambridge the fan base should increase I believe. Therefore, there's no reason why local football fans shouldn't alternate between Newmarket Road and Bridge Road. COYS
