I guess the biggest compliment is to say I wasn't surprised to learn you'd turned Swindon over today - that's the magic of the FA Cup and we've seen it all around the Country today...!
With yourselves, Blyth and Curzden Ashdon knocking out league opposition today, with many more non-league sides either taking teams to replays or progressing against other non-leaguers...should really see us represented well in the draw for tomorrow, when I tihnk they will be a few more upsets with the games taking place.
It also makes a mockerey of Setanta's decision to show the Leeds vs Northampton game last night, with just over 9,000 turning up (worst attendance at Leeds for over a century for an FA Cup game!) as opposed to where the real magic dust was being sprinkled.
In any case, obviously absolutely gutted that the U's are out, but well done to you guys and hope you get that money-spinning tie in the next round as I know how important money is for everybody at the moment. I hope you get Peterborough United at home, as I tihnk you'll beat them...!
Cheers,
Will

What a result that was!!!!
Magnificent effort put in by all of our players. The reaction of the players at the end meant everything to the fans. I love the magic of the FA Cup as the numbers come out of the bag for the next round's draw. The suspense of not knowing who we will get in the draw.
What the Dickens was going on with that referee?!? As I saw it, the ball ended up in the net directly from a throw-in. The fans saw this and hesitated to celebrate. Wrighty (cleverly) claimed a touch. The ref gave a goal and the Swindon players and fans (rightly) were outraged. The 4th official got involved. Now...
i) Did the referee need the rules clarifying? Did he not realise that you can't score directly from a throw-in? If so then how was he refereeing an FA Cup game? Everybody else in the ground knew this rule.
ii) Did the 4th official get involved to let the referee know that nobody had touched the ball? The assistant referee (linesman) on the far side had a perfect view as did we stood next to him. How could a referee and linesman miss this? Is the 4th official "allowed" to interfere like that?
iii) TV coverage suggested that the 'goal' was ruled out due to a foul on one of the Swindon players. But obviously the referee and the linesman didn't see this either.
All told, I don't think it should have been a goal but what happened afterwards was a farce. Luckily the result didn't depend on that decision. Swindon didn't seem up for it and Histon were. Very proud of Histon, my throat is still sore from shouting encouragement and celebrating.
Can't wait to see the draw for the next round.
FGH..... as they'll be shouting in Round 2 of the FA Cup.

Love the way the forum software has changed my word above. It was meant to be D I C K E N S but it changed 'D I C K' to 'THINGY'

Cheers, Will This is probably one of the ties i wouldn't want, as some one has already said, they'd buy all our players in January! Also, i'd rather a Leeds, Bradford, Leicester away or a Curzon, Blyth or Fleetwood at home COME ON YOU STUTES!

I thought that the ref seemed lost at times yesterday but I would have happily shown him the way out! ;D It was difficult from our position in the stand to see what happened with the first disallowed goal but his general stop start performance clearly broke down the flow of the game. It was very enjoyable but could have been so much more so.

It sounds like it was given for a foul on the keeper then So Danny Wright touched it, he should have had 2 goals! Anyway, really looking forward to the draw in about half an hours time, let's hope it's a home draw, as everyone is scared of us at home
