A great evening's entertainment. Histon's attacking football pays off ....just ! And that just about banishes any relegation worries with Arlesey losing against Poole. If Brian can keep this squad together next season with a couple of shrewd signings they could well push for the play offs. The spirit shown by the players in recent weeks has seen off more experienced teams as they have matched the likes of Poole and St Neots and they deserve to get a crack at next season at SLP level. Well done to all involved on the playing side.

Yes 10/10 for entertainment value. Not one for the purists and I'm sure Brian and Lance didn't enjoy it as much as we did!! Credit to the lads that they kept bouncing back and looked a threat going forward for a change. Thankfully their 'Keystone Cops' defending was slightly worse than ours. Lets hope on Sat we can attack like last night but defend like we did against St Neots & Poole otherwise Redditch will have a field day! COYS

Repeat after me: "We're gonna score one more than you, Histon". A very entertaining and utterly bonkers evenings football. Both sides were intent on getting forward and making chances, and both sides defended really poorly. But I thought we showed great spirit, falling behind 4 times yet still believing in ourselves and getting the win. I'm not sure why Miles Smith didn't start, I think we would have been stronger at the back with him playing either in defense or as a holding midfielder. Rogan was missed in his holding midfiled role. But offensively we were fantastic.

What a match. Agree with everything before. Next season watch out. We can reach the play offs with one or two additions. Brilliant.

Further, Histon's attacking prowess in this game was as good as most I've seen in this league. Last night, the 4 defenders all had poor games, but don't let's dwell on it. Everyone had a bad day back there. The passing from the midfield players was really superb, and the finishing as good as I've seen in the SLP this season. Chesham were disappointing and relied entirely on talent on the flanks, particulately on the left. Really poor defensively. The last goal was superb too, but if I was the Chesham boss I'd want to know why Gore couldn't be bothered to get back after he had ventured forth in a late foray into the Stute's penalty area. But that's not important. What is important is this result, and what I did spot was the Arlesey big lad up front from last week, in the crowd. He impressed me then. Probably one of the maybe 3 players we need for next season's assault on the play offs. COYS
