I know it seems obvious, but the Swindon game shows how far the team has come in the last two/three years.
Not just the fact that we deservedly turned them over - but also the confident feeling around the place. People turned up almost EXPECTING a Stutes victory ... and this is against a League One side!
Clearly we shouldn't get carried away as it's early days in the season yet. But I am feeling so optimistic. Promotion is going to be extremely tough to achieve, expecially as the inevitable injuries hit in the new year, but I think the players are starting to believe that they deserve to be where they are.
And other clubs are starting to believe that Histon should be taken seriously. So too are the media.
Fantastic day - and could be the day we look back on and say 'this was the day we started to believe'.

I'm a little worried if we do go up. Can we really afford to pay all our players full-time wages? i really do hope so, but i'm not so sure

As a club promotion this season with our current level of support would be a real problem. The answer is to simply keep promoting the club to friends and collegues. Going up would put a little on the gate from away fans but not enough to survive with. Yes we are starting to believe. I honestly expected a win if we got at them from the start. We are where we are in the league on merit and any team that underestimates us will pay a heavy price.

However, i think we'd get a few United fans watching us
