What a strange feeling, normally we have phones, radios etc checking other games as we play.
Congratulations to Brian, Lance, Nick, the players and not forgetting Trevor the groundsman for a great job well done. Lets celebrate with a bring a mate to the last game to help the club funds over the summer.

Totally agree doc. I believe that there's much to look forward to next season. Players have emerged to become very good at this level. The management team are a talented group, and the pitch looked pretty good to me. So well done Trevor Ball. On Monday both teams played some great football on the deck. Corby in the first half and Histon in the second most particularly. Corby were the best team I've seen in this league this season, and they were fighting for their lives in the second period. Well done to them. Hope they get promoted. I have heard there are plans afoot to deal with the loss of rent from City too. So, I'm already looking forward to next season, when I really believe that the talent at the GWS will see the Stutes looking to get back into the Conference North or South. Hope fans can persuade a mate to come to the last match of the season.

My worry is, several if not most of the squad will vanish over summer and we'll start again from scratch with a team of trialists and youngsters from the youth teams. That has been the scenario the past 4 or 5 seasons and will probably happen again as the club cannot afford to contract the players to the club. Lets hope the likes of Sam Ives and Geoff Mitchell are keen to stay and play for Brian.

It does feel good not having to worry going into the last few games. It's inevitable that we will lose a couple of players but if we keep the core together we will be in a good position for next season, well done to Brian and the management team!

Agreed, Brian and the management team have done an amazing job in improving the side as the season has progressed, with a negligible budget. Huge thanks to him and the team.

Yes a massive well done to the management, board, off field personal, volunteers and fans. I feel we're in a great position, now, to move the club forward. Hopefully we can keep 5/6 players that have been the core of the first team which would be a massive boost for next season. Also get badgering friends and family to come to the GlassWorld. What Brian and co are doing is fantastic and is defying the way in which the modern day game is heading and in that respect the club certainly deserve more support. If we have somewhat more of a stable start to next season then it would be great to regularly pass the 300 mark at home again and I certainly think that's achievable.
Anyway, enjoy the last few games folks it's been along time since we've been able to!

Last away game tomorrow, hopefully many Histon fans will make the relatively 'short' trip to Banbury to cheer on the lads, shame about Nick Freeman but am glad it's this late on in the season.
