Any news? I saw some clubs have given out info about signings, friendlies etc, but nothing from Histon.

Bit of a blow, lead the team well. The defence did ok at times without him. Will be interesting to see who replaces him.
Some high profile home friendlies would be nice.

Shame he has gone but there we go. Was probably the top earner so I would either get another experienced midfielder / defender or use the money to try and keep hold of some of the players who were not on much or even playing for free.
Will be interesting to see who else stays or goes. I think maybe we should spend the money on a smaller squad retaining and equiring more experienced players and use more of the youth to bolster the bench, obviously if we pick up a few injuries it may be problematic but I think it's worth the risk and we may as well utilse our brilliant youth set up.

Stuart Wall was a very decent centre back, but probably not with the required pace for the SLP. I think Rumens and Key are a very good partnership with better to come. The League might be stronger next season, with the new additions, and my expectations for a play off place might have been a little hopeful, but I believe that The Stutes and City will be competing for mid table supremacy. Nothing to be excited about, by any means, but more comfortable for Histon. Possibly comfortable enough to overtake City.

And what good news so far. Especially happy to see Sam Ives signed up. Revelation last season I thought.

Great news. All five signed so far did very well last season. A good start. Some young lads mentioned in the post too, are they any good?
Read on twitter that Enol hasn't been signed though, wonder who our keeper will be??

Really good news on the playing front. Means we have just about half a starting lineup that were playing together the previous season which I don't think we've had for a while. All of them are strong players at this level so it's a massive boost. Signing Sam Ives in particular is brill, especially as he has conference prem experience so really good news. Hopefully a few more of last seasons squad feel like giving it another crack in red and black too ! I do think if we can retain most of them along with some new signings and a few of the youth stepping up, we will be a lot further up the table come the end of next season. Can't wait to get started already !

So welcome back Denzel Gerrar ! What an absolute quality signing that is. Will be one of the top 3 goalkeepers in the league if not the best and worth at least 15/20 points alone. Also warm welcome to Jordan Nicholson. A winger who can score goals apparently, so will look forward to watching him continue to do the same for us this coming season.

It's years since we have had such a positive post season. We'll actually have a decent squad going into preseason. Really sad to see Enol go though, he improved hugely last season. Best of luck Enol. Denzel was fantastic last season for us though, so I can see the sense in bringing him in. Surprised to see him released by Milwall, I think he's good enough to play at a much higher level then Southern league. Hopefully Danny Rumens, Max York and Geoff Mitchell will sign. All worth additions to the squad. Danny defended well all season and Geoff made a big difference when he came in to the squad.

This is looking really good. Gerrar is a good keeper. Surprised he hasn't been snapped up by a bigger club, but not so sure about 15-20 points a season!! Jordan (Joey) Nicholson is a potential gem. I watched him destroy Wisbech Town in a Cambs Pro Cup match at Milton Road three seasons ago. I knew then that he had huge potential. For one reason or another City did not tap in to this potential. I believe that Histon FC will. Read only recently how Jamie Vardy & Charlie Austin were both released as teenagers by Premiership clubs because they were too small. Where have I heard that before, hundreds of times? And still the big clubs keep making this same mistake. This lad was pretty small 3 years back, but probably filled out a bit now. Joey can be a revelation at Bridge Road. The Millwall connection can be very useful indeed. I'm sure the benefits can be double edged. I see a genuine resurgence of fortunes for the Stutes. Roll on August.
