Well, what a transformation. And a well done to everyone involved. A few slight negatives but I won't dwell on those. Effort was universal. Ability was proved. The match itself was a bit of a mystery. Hitchin showed in the first half what a good side they are, and the ethics they follow, through the good style of football they play. But second half, the Stutes really showed us how good they can be. The bad aspects, all round, of last Saturday were absent. A lot has been said and done, clearly, during the week. And it showed. Well done Brian and the lads. Some great goals, and the back 4 looked solid, which has to be the basis, always, of a decent side. Brilliant. COYS

Unfortunately again I couldn't make the game today but shame for anybody else who stayed away today. Fantastic effort from the lads and a good solid attendance today, obvs city, st neots and cam u all being away helped but even still. That puts us on 10 points now and I would say a quarter of the way to saftey. Important that we capitalise on this result and string a few more wins/draws together. As I've said before, we have the squad to do it, just need the consistency now. On to the next one! COYS !!!

Great to watch today, what a change from last week. Thought the loan boys were good at fullback and the new centre forward held the ball up well and ran hard all afternoon. Must mention Danny who was immense at the back.
Hitchin were a decent side as they showed in the first half but our second half effort particularly in pressing the ball as a team was superb.
Very well done to all our players and coaching staff.

Great performance second half. We passed the ball well and took our chances. We really exploited Hitchin's weaknesses and for once were solid at the back in the face of some very good Hitchin football. I think Danny proved his doubters wrong, he was back to his best. Luke (loanee from Luton) had a good game. And we put away our chances.
Lets not get too carried away, after the first half, and up until they gifted us a goal (the most ridiculous own goal you will ever see) there was only going to be one winner. And it wasn't us. But the OG seemed to get us going and really rattled them. Hitchin must be scratching their heads and wondering how they got such a heavy beating. Even though 5-1 flattered us we should take huge confidence from this for the trip to King's Lynn.

Looking at twitter the second half today was not very good at all.
Baffling how the team can not seem to get any consistency.
Kings Lynn are a team that Histon really need to be beating or at worst getting a point against if they are going to stay up this season.

Looking at twitter the second half today was not very good at all. Baffling how the team can not seem to get any consistency. Kings Lynn are a team that Histon really need to be beating or at worst getting a point against if they are going to stay up this season. I went to the game. Nice traditional ground and a good atmosphere. I thought we defended too deep and gave them so much space to play. Our last ditch defending in and around the box was very good (well ignoring their second goal), it had to be, but it was inevitable they would score eventually. But we looked very good when we got the ball and caused them all sorts of problems on the break. It could have been 3-3 at half time given the big chances we missed. Josh stabbed wide from what looked like a yard. And then should have scored 1-on-1 with their keeper. Jordan missed a clear chance with just the keeper to beat. Second half we never really got going. I think King's Lynn worked us out and didn't let us play on the break. To be fair, we didn't look like conceding in the second half until they got their messy goal, and after that we seemed to run out of steam. Good goal from Matthew at the end though, we deserved it on the balance of the whole game. And King's Lynn looked a decent team. No disgrace in loosing to them.
