Thought most of the lads played well last night, with some nice interlinking play and no 'hoofball'. Really pleased for Jordan who looked lacking in confidence in the early stages of the game but once he scored he turned it up a gear. Had we taken all of our chances we could of had 8 or 9. Our goalkeeper was superb and will really give Denzel a run for his money for the Number 1 Jersey. For me the defence did not play well and I think we were lucky that Bedworth couldn't hit a barn door. Also slightly disappointed with the lack of support, only 221. I would have expected for Fallons first home game a few more would turn up. However a much needed and deserved 3 points which will hopefully instil confidence in the lads.

Jordan was excellent! Bedworth struggled against him all game. Keeper was brilliant, kept us in the game for the first 10 and then kept us in the lead in the second half. Ives and Rogan did well too. Liked the right back when we had the ball.
The back four defensively weren't good and keeper bailed them out a lot. Freeman was barely in the game. Centre forward won a few headers and closed people down at times, but little else.
Great to get a win, especially in Steve's return. Did we deserve it? 50-50, Bedworth definitely had enough good chances to have gotten something and the Histon team overall weren't great although individuals were, but a win is a win and the team will take it.
While not hoofball, it was very route 1. Jordan's curler was a long ball down the line, flick from ives and then an excellent finish, one of the few times it has worked this season I've seen. You could literally throw a net over the whole team for our goal kicks. Literally all hit long. Interesting to see the team's gone for Beck tactics keeping the grass long in the corner, haha. Or probably due to groundsman issues as someone mentioned.
Will be interesting to see how the team develops and does.

Yes another entertaining open game. Could have been 5 5 ! I'm sure Steve will tighten things up as it has been the Achilles heal all season. The boys are great going forward and Ives and Nicholson already have 20 league goals in the bag. Long or short ball doesn't matter as long as we are entertained and last night you got your money's worth. Gate disappointed but Saturday will be a truer reflection on renewed interest from old supporters .

I thought we played well in patches. Thought we tried to play football last night, can't agree with the direct football comment. Still a worrying situation at the back however. I can't put my finger on it other than they sit too deep and let the opposition run a yard or 3 to far with the ball, individually they are great but a bit of cohesion is needed. I've heard people say fal wants to bring in experience but with no money I don't see how this is possible? However if it does happen we could certainly do with a defender to marshal the back line and possibly a midfielder, being the leagues top goal scorers I think we're more than covered upfront!
Such a crucial game Saturday, we really need a cup run to get some much needed funds into the club, I think this round is worth 1000-2000 with a win and gate receipts combined which we could really do with and if we can get one of the big conference teams home or away such as Tranmere, Lincoln, Cheltenham, Grimsby, Wrexham etc then all the better. I know it's a long shot but that money would go such a long way to helping the club out!

They winners £2,700 for a victory in the 1st Qualifying Round, which is what they are playing on Saturday. That would be very welcome.
The National League (Conference Premier) do not enter until the 1st Round Proper. So, we'd have to win this one, and two more, before they enter.
We are due a good Cup run, so why not this year?!

An entertaining game and a welcome three points. The defence looked a bit casual at times, and we got the wrong side of the ball on occasion. We do get stretched when moving the ball forward quickly, still think we need to hold the ball for longer periods and sometimes our wide players should stay wide to give us more passing options. BUT good win, roll on Saturday

Very good opinions by all. Shame others down there got points last night too, but IMO relegation will not be a consideration. This is a good team, and with a couple of positions strengthened it will beat some good sides. COYS
