Well firstly may I say it's all well and good that we had a really positive response to Stevie's appointment but if people still aren't willing to come to the games then what hope do we have? What a shameful turnout this afternoon!
As for the game I thought that was a fair result in the end, they had the first half and the second one was ours. Compared to Tuesday we were a little slow in attack and for much of the game we were taking a touch or two to many instead of making the obvious pass. Talking of obvious passes I'm afraid Nicholson and Aguer were both guilty of not making them today. Nicholson should have squared the ball instead of shooting in the first half as we had about 3 men in the box which would have probably sent us into the break 1 goal to the good. I'm all for confidence but you have to make those kind of passes and the same goes for Ryan right at the end of the game, receives the ball close the the box with time and space and instead of playing sam through on goal he elects to shoot from 25 yards! It's those kind of decisions that can win you games but unfortunately we didn't make them. Might I also add that Josh had a much improved game today, he put himself about well and held the ball up nicely.
It's a shame we couldn't have found a win today as the club so desperately needs the money! Still we are in with a shout, we've beaten Stratford at their place already this season so there's no reason why we can't do it again. As for next Saturday I certainly hope we have a much improved attendance.
