Well that performance was miles better than Tuesday. Much more fight in the team and a much better performance in general, just a shame the players didn't get any reward for their performance. Ives and Josh for me were excellent and did what they could to create our few chances. The centre mids and centre backs played really well I thought. Ives MOM I thought.
On the downside, just lumping the ball forward from goal kicks and from the back especially when you have the wind and it keeps going out of play is poor, that's kids stuff. Nick Freeman, last season he was excellent, this season he's gone back to his old ways; not doing much defensively, lots of tricks and turns and then giving the ball away or hitting awful crosses in. It was really evident today, he was poor. I know people love him, but if you're honest you'll agree.
Does anybody know why Lance Key left? Have some of the players left, or are we really sufferring that badly with injuries?

Have been absent fora week or three. Why has Lance Key left? Money, again, I suspect. Not greed, just owed, maybe. Son, Evan is away on holiday? Don't suppose he'll be back. Plenty of season left yet, I reckon. Have faith in Fal. But I'm not confident. Though, as I say, lots of the season left. What I cannot fathom us why Histon, nor City could entice Luke Chadwick!! What an asset he would be. But he's somehow arrived at Soham Town Rangers FC!!!! Is this, or is it not, a serious falling in the hierarchy of Histon & Cambridge City FC?? Maybe Luke is not interested in Management. Maybe he just wants to play for as long as possible, and, yes, I understand that. But he's LOCAL. And he's a local legend, so why wouldn't our 2 top local Clubs be interested in him. They must be bonkers.

Think you will find Lance wanted the Managers job. Luke we probably couldn't afford. We need someone in the box who puts himself about stand his ground and not get pushed off the ball easily.

How do you know that re Lance, Kinfan? Couldn't afford Luke? I'm sure he would not really consider a serious wage. Not at this stage of his career after what he's achieved. So how do Soham reward him? Unless that's just a cameo involvement. And surely, Luke Chadwick would love to manage Cambridge City? Probably at a considerable saving to the Club!! What a miss for both Histon & City. Astonishing that either Club would not be determined to have Luke involved. Couldn't Fal & Luke form some sort of partnership? Surely he won't be lost to Cambridgeshire football? Big Geoff Mitchell would be just the ticket up front.

It seems a bit odd calling both Cambridge City and Histon bonkers when there are no facts on offer , just someone's own imagination running a little wild.

This is what fan's forums are for, surely. To discuss thoughts, ideas, possibilities. When do fans get told of facts, anyway??? Just putting my thoughts forward. Luke Chadwick being a Cambridge sporting icon.

Not able to go yesterday as working, but sounds encouraging. Think we are in a better place points wise than last year at this time but of course we never know that much about the financial situation at the club, could it be worse than last year? Good to see new lads coming through the ranks. Nothing wrong in exchanging ideas and opinions.

We battled well on Saturday, but ultimately were second best. We just never looked like scoring. But I think we can build on that performance. We need Jordan back (is he injured) and we looked very lightweight without Evan at the back. But the player we miss the most is Rogan. He breaks play up for us and uses the ball simply and well when he wins it. We need to keep him fit.
So, heads up guys and keep the faith.
I agree with Clive that Luke Chadwick would be a great asset for the club at this time. He'd be an experienced leader for the young lads on the pitch. But who knows what his personal circumstances are. I'm not sure the club can afford to increase the playing squad at the moment anyway.

I know there might well be little chance, but what a lift it would be to everyone at Bridge Road. Luke as Player/coach, Fal as Manager. Could be a great team. Money is clearly a motivating factor nowadays in professional football, and non league is just as bad. But there are two managers locally who are not paid, so who knows? Maybe I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one !!!!! Lots of the season left yet, so no need to get too despondent at this stage. COYS
