That is 4 unbeaten now. Made hard work of it today but it was 3 vital points in the end. We weren't quite on it and let bideford get far to much of a hand on the game, maybe it was us getting sucked down to their level but as much as we have started to learn to adapt to certain teams style of play we also need to learn when to impose our own. Still we did what we had to do. Thought Gleeson did well on his debut and I'm sure we'll only improve under his guidance on the pitch and as assistant manager. Also good to see Rogan back, fighting for us in the middle of the park.

Now for the derby and a massive game boxing day, really hope the lads get up for it and really take it to city, for starters we owe them one from earlier on in the season and of course we all want the bragging rights. I imagine it will be a quagmire of a surface so it will be a scrap but obviously that doesn't mean we have to resort to hoof ball. They seem to be coping alight at the moment considering their big losses in Michael Malcolm and of course Dan but I've heard their squad is still very threadbare so thats all the more reason to try and run them off the park. A point would be very good but 3 would be fantastic and would see us start to pull away from the dropzone.

It's been a very mixed bag in terms of highs and lows so far this season but I think we're starting to get to the point now where we can really kick on. So lets finish the year well and stay unbeaten! COYS

Yes, good to get three points which begins to make this a decent little run. I think Gleeson will prove to be a really positive addition and hopefully his experience as well as his playing ability will benefit the younger lads. We seemed quite solid with Evan and Rogan in front of the defence. Thought all contributed with Danny looking decent and Josh taking on a lot of work and improving all the time, Nick also seemed to be taking less touches on the ball and moving it quicker. Well done all.

Great result. But luckily Bideford were poor, as I didn't think we played too well, especially when we didn't have the ball. We could have got beaten by a more clinical side. Still, that's 4 games unbeaten, so can't be bad.

Very good to get the win. A horrible game, neither team played well. Very scrappy, an old fashioned relegation scrap and quite literally at times. I thought Dan Gleeson played well and he actually provided something different when we had the ball, especially from free kicks when instead of the usual long ball forward he was getting on the ball and getting the team doing different things. Rogan back in midfield was ok, I thought he was the cause of a lot of the scrappiness in the game and why we weren't as good. I thought the two young lads who had been playing in there had done well. Rogan was lucky to not get sent off with the amount of fouls he gave away. Good that Denzel is back, Brendan has seemed to go backwards this month since Lance left and he saved the ball straight to the Bideford lad for their second and did the same in the first half but got lucky. I thought Josh worked tirelessly for the team, he didn't have good service at all, but worked so hard for the team. He deserved his goal for his effort he has put in. Whoever the big bloke is in the cap by the chip hut needs to get off his back and encourage him instead of moaning at him. Josh worked so hard and challenged for every ball. It must be hard and frustrating for him.

4 games without defeat is an improvement. A must win game that we did win and if we can get 3 points from the 6 available over Xmas and New Year then that's a good sign.

Good luck to Jordan on his trial at Peterborough. It will be a huge blow to lose him, but another playing pushing up from the club.

I was disappointed with Rogan. He lost his rag a few times and could have got himself sent off for a mixture of fouls and dissent. Not a good example as captain. And I though Evan was very lucky not to be dismissed for a really poor tackle. As you say, it was a scrappy nigly game.
