Yes a big loss but just shows what we are about in terms of developing young players and giving them an opportunity to play in the first team, so if someone is good enough and works hard they will be spotted and move up which must be a huge motivation for all the lads. Shame to lose him, but as Steve says above it reaffirms what the club is about, developing youngsters and giving them a chance.

Hopefully the undisclosed fee we got was substantial for the level we're at and includes add-ons and any sell on percentage. There are other players from lower leagues that we should look at. Having a search around on the internet and speaking to people, the likes of Luke Stanley from Soham, Dale Archer from Soham/Linton, Danny Hill from West Wratting, James Hall from Godmanchester, Daniel Cotton from Yaxley and Jack Newman from Wellingborough all play for local sides and have scored, or do score, lots of goals for their teams.

Saying that, it's also a chance for some more of the youngsters from the club to get a chance and see what they can do.
