What an important win that was. I said before what a springboard this could provide if we win. hopefully this can really kick us into gear and get us up that table, I'm sure the lads will be buzzing as will us fans and might I add, what an impressive turnout, well done to all.

As for the game itself, I thought we had the better of the first half, pretty solid at the back and caused them problems going forward, was a nice ball to joe who served up a good cross for joshy to finish. Second half city woke up a little but early on we still looked a threat going forward. There were cries of dive and cheat for the first peno but I thought it was clear as day, Clayton was pushed and elbowed off the ball, well done Nick for calming slotting the ball home. From then on it was pretty much all hands to deck as City pushed forward. No complaints about their penalty. From then on I feared the worse but even though we rode our luck the lads really fought tooth and nail so credit to them all! Last but by no means least, plaudits must go to my man of the match Denze who showed us all why we brought him to the club. City were through on goal at least 3/4 times but he thwarted them each time, by far his best game of the season and if he can keep that up he'll certainly gain us another point or 3. Fantastic opportunity to get consecutive wins and to start a run of form with St Neots next up, they've had a torrid run this season so I really hope the lads carry the buzz of tonight onto Saturday and go after them! Ps. Not wanting to continue the debate but it was nice to see Steve getting vocal from the dugout, lads responded well to him.

I bet City won't be complaining about the Glassworld after seeing that swamp of a pitch and dump of a ground. Even pub football has better standard pitches.

What happened at the end with some fans? Wanted to get out of there as quick as I could.

Better in parts. Another huge game on Saturday. 2 wins out of 2 and and both City and St Neots will be in the scrap with us.

As is widely known, the move away from the GWS was designed to cripple Histon FC financially. Clearly, as we know, it has had a pretty drastic effect, and we are in the perilous league position pretty much due to that missing income. However, IMO, even relegation would be an acceptable situation as long as ethics and decency reign at Bridge Road.
As for last night, a mighty welcome 3 points for our young pretenders. Really well done.
The unpleasantries off the pitch did not surprise me. I know who is usually behind it all, and I keep away.
Looking forward to a good game Saturday. Let's hope there'll be a decent attendance. I reckon 300+

Agree with what has been said in terms of the way the game went decent first half passed well weathered second half a bit. Really good to see us pressing the opposition ball carrier in groups which enabled us to steal possession on a number of occasions. Fantastic attitude shown by all the players on a tough and energy sapping pitch. Bench were offering tactical instructions and encouragement, all good. Going to be hard on sat because players will be tired but if we can get behind them again anything is possible. Not quite sure what happened at the end just smiling to much especially listening to all the excuses pitch, ref, players etc......

That is the first time in months I have seen us really odig in and battle. So a huge well done to the lads for holding on to the win. Not a pretty game, but entertaining. I thought Lewis Clayton improved us in midfield, I hope he isn't too badly injured. He is more combative that some of our other youngsters and really got stuck in. Denzil was once again superb in goal and saved us a few times, one absolutely incredible save to his left. Nick and Joe were a threat all game. Hopefully we can take some confidence from this, but we'll be down to the bare bones on Saturday with so many injuries piling up.

Not too surprised Evan is leaving. But that's one fewer strong tall defensive players in the squad.

The team played better without him in midfield last night. Maybe if we had more of the ball we wouldn't need tall, defensive players.

Maybe it'll free up money to spend elsewhere.

Did well at times last year but is not a midfielder and is down the pecking order at cb.
