Well, I have to say that this was 3 points missed. Got to say that the Saints were quite poor. But hopefully, both will be good enough to make a better assault on the SLP next season. A stalemate, where I thought that maybe the Stutes might, and should, have taken the maximum. Teamwise, I thought most players performed well. But as we all could see, there was no end product. I know we miss Jordan, but hey, don't we miss Sam? Thought back 5 were strong, with Rogan having a great game in front of them. All performed really well. The problems were, I think, the attacking midfield. Threat on the left on occasions from Nick, but otherwise very ineffective. And now let me come to Josh up front....... Well, I thought he had his best game yet, IMO. He is most definitely looking the part, more. And, I believe, it's a confidence thing. His first touch is better, he is holding it better, his close movement is better, he lays it off well, and he puts his marker under much more physical pressure, especially in the air. It is tough for him as he is a lone striker. Hence, the major responsibility is on him to get into dangerous positions in front of the area of the penalty spot. It is a tough job. He cannot be everywhere. We miss the threats from deep positions of Sam, with Josh's ability to pull defenders away from Sam's runs forward. It seems to me that Fal may have done something to improve Josh's performances. So I must say that despite the fact that I think this is 2 points dropped, there were definitely pluses today.

Terrific performance today, from all the Histon team, solid performance, We deserved to win, but great to see everyone battling, from the start, Josh seems more confident, up front , Nick seems to have upped the anti, and Rogan was superb, today , Chesham next week , where 3 points are not out of our reach , a repeat performance of today please lads!.

Well, it's been a rather good week for us hasn't it! Great win at City followed up by a solid performance today. The only downer is that we were good enough for the 3 points we just weren't quite clinical enough going forward both with creating and taking chances although Joe was unlucky with his effort cannoning off the post and Ryan fizzed one just over. As for the defence, that was the best game I have seen them play, didn't really look threatened all day. Agree about Josh, did very well today but we could do with Sam back!! It would be nice if the club could tell us his situ, for such as big player there has literally been nothing said about him which is very odd?
So, for now, it looks a little bit rosier but there is still a long way to go, especially as Bedworth seem to have discovered how to win now and both Frome and Paulton have 7 games on us, so it's our job to make that chase as hard as possible. We have nicely set ourselves a solid platform by going two unbeaten and we need to stretch that run for as long as possible. Chesham up next, they have been hovering just above us for most of the season so we must go for them and not hold back.

A very good performance, just such a shame we didn't get the deserved 3 points. First half was very even with St Neots probably having more shots but none were that threatening, but the second half we definitely were the better team by far and I thought Nick had scored when his shot went just wide.
Not sure who it was that said we shouldn't rely on the youngsters, they were superb today. As above, the back 5 were excellent. Not sure if it's Dan's influence but it was the first time I've seen the back 5 so organised. Covering for each other and constantly getting themselves in position as a group, excellent! I feel for Josh, he works so hard with so little support and does a great job. Whoever the big bloke is by the away dugout that constantly bellows during the game needs to shut up going on at Josh and the ref. Will say that I thought that was Rogan's best game of the season by far. There was none of the nonsense moaning at the ref or stupid fouls, well done to him! Whoever the new lad in midfield is was a great signing by Fallon. He's the type of midfielder we need in there. Worked his socks off, was good on the ball and could defend!
Speaking of the ref, I thought he had an ok game. St Neots got exactly what they deserved from him. They were trying all sorts of antics on the pitch and their fans were a disgrace. Threatening "wait till I see you in the car park ref" and other things that I won't /can't write on here.
If we can get 3 points from Chesham then things really are looking up.

I wish I could understand the mentality of some football fans. I have been to St Neots on several occasions over the last two or three seasons. It's a super stadium, some excellent players, and some of the best behind-the-scenes people you could meet. I feel proud to have spent 2 seasons in the early 80's playing for the club at Shortsands. Fans behaviour at their home matches, as I recall, has always been good. But yesterday I thought they were a disgrace to their Club. Foul & obscene chanting throughout. I missed the aggressive part, but it doesn't surprise me to hear ewstute's comment. Why is it that these fans derive so much enjoyment out of behaving so offensively? Disgusting. How can any dad possibly take his young son to a football match nowadays and not feel sick at that sort of atmosphere? One of the reasons I and a few others have switched our allegiance to Histon FC is due to the lack of such loathsome individuals at the GWS.

Good point for Histon fc against a young St Neots team. It seemed like I was watching Histons U 21 ! Regarding bad behaviour amongst fans it should be easy to eradicate. The crowds are so small,at this level, that everyone knows who the perpetrators are and at any given home game a club official should be given the task of dealing with supporters they know. Just a warning to calm down then if they carry on ban them. These individuals do untold damage to their clubs and do drive away both new and old supporters. I see there were policemen present yesterday looking out for the "rogue supporters" from the recent City fc fracas.Probably a move to "warn" off potential troublemakers.Nice to see City chairman Kevin Satchell say he is going to deal with some of his undesirable fans. Could suggest he closes down his UNOFFICIAL Camb City fc twitter account as that is run by someone with a hatred for Histon and only fuels any flames there may be.

Its been a nice week for us, really good to see such progress being made by individuals and the team as a whole, just need a little more craft in the oppositions last third but I am sure that will come. Thought the new lad had a good game. Guess its not still not very easy behind the scenes at the club so credit to everyone for working so hard. Thank you.

I've not seen us play with that confidence and purpose for sometime. Excellent team performance. You really could not tell the U21s from the first team which is massive credit to those players. As mentioned, the new lad in midfield looks like a great addition to the squad Most of us get a bit excited at times and shout the odd thing during the game but some of the St Neots supporters were disgracefull yesterday. Whilst I don't condone what happened on Wednesday, if the City chairman knew what some of his supporters had posted on social media about Histon supporters and players families the incident would have been brushed under the carpet. Anyway as Steve says thanks to everyone working so hard behind the scenes to keep our great club going

St Neots fans weren't so bad although they clearly know nothing about football given some of the decisions they were complaining about. Agree with you berbatov about the unofficial Camb City twitter, if I was a well reasoned city fan and if they have any sense and are serious about their "investigation" they should ask for it to be taken down! All it has done is stir and contributed a lot to the trouble that occurred. No doubt it is run by one of those horrible lot that stand just outside their bar! Also heard on the radio that a city fan said we were "poor" for not dealing with the situation and remaining quiet. I've met the guy who said this and will give him the benefit of the doubt because he clearly didn't read the article where John Hall condemned the actions and stated they were not Histon regulars. That's all that can be done in this situation, there's no point reprimanding people that don't come to watch Histon! What was poor and not surprisingly not mentioned was the abuse that that supporters had to endure during the red insure cup match, rant over!

Fair enough Clive but how do equate this with those chanting foul abuse at Gary Roberts at the City match. I took my grandson to his first away match as a birthday treat.

I don't equate it at all ghost. Everything of this nature is totally unacceptable. I detest it, whoever the perpetrators are, or whoever they represent. Not sure which match you refer to. City v St Neots or City v Histon? No matter. Why don't Stewards eject the offenders? What could be simpler? To be honest, ghost, I am surprised you took your grandson to any football match. I wouldn't take mine, that's for certain. This sort of behaviour is fairly commonplace, though obviously worse at some grounds than others.
