Well early days but seeing as they were bottom you'do have hoped we could have taken something from the game. Solid first half performance, didn't look the most threatening but none the less had a few decent chances and just edged it. Second half, however, we left our heads in the dressing room whereas arlesey were right at us and looked far more up for it. I believe stevie used to be a fullback so it's a little confusing as to why our defence still looks at 6s and 7s.
Still also a little worrying as to where our goals are going to come from although I do feel we were unlucky not to notch at least one onto the board tonight. Also worth mentioning we have some big lads in the team so we must be more effective at set pieces. Rooted to the bottom now so not what we wanted to see. As mentioned still early doors but we really can't afford to cut ourselves too far adrift this early on in the season. We have a welcome break with the fa cup this sat. Cld do with a run and the prize money but our record in the fa cup these past few seasons has been atrocious so not holding out much hope. Hope I'm proved wrong though.

Agreed hfc08stutes. I though we generally played well, passed the ball but had not cutting edge. Can't see us scoring many goals. Both Arlesey goal were too easy, poor defending.

Again I agree with what has been said about the game. We did not score when we were on top and had chances to do so. At the moment we only seem to be able to hold our form over 45 minutes so surely the next step is to make it very difficullt for the opposition for the half when we are not in the game so much. This means the whole team working hard and to a plan to prevent the first goal going in because as when that happens we get too stretched chasing the equaliser. We must also adopt a simple plan when we don't have the ball, how about two lines of 4 and 2 up to create a compact format? still think we can improve so better things to come. Keep at it lads.
