Wow what a win! great away trip. First 30 mins they came out fighting and put us under some pressure but credit to the defence and goalkeeper we held out. Towards the end of the half we began to come into the game with the midfield and front two putting some decent passes together to create one or two chances. We lost two players to injury but the two subs who came on did well. Second half it was like someone had flicked a switch and we played like a team possessed, attacking with a deal of flare, controlling midfield, organised in defence, pressing together and generally running with team passion. Oh and I forgot to mention two great finishes. The side were a credit to the club today and all concerned deserve genuine praise. Must say the Lowestoft supporters we spoke to were a decent bunch so good luck to them for the coming season.

Can't disagree with anything tbh. Glad we played 5-4-1 which I think is roughly how we set up, worked really well today and makes sense. Always thought that's the best way to utilise Gould and sibanda's pace. As you said, weathered the storm in the first 30 and worked our way back into it. Best game the defence has had by a country mile. Held their shape well and won virtually everything that was hit into our box. Although this made the keeps life a lot easier, he too had his best game so far. Commanded his box well and made 2/3 smart saves. Midfield worked hard, both making life difficult for lowestoft and creating chances. Up top we worked hard and closed down very well. Don't want to single out performances as everyone was faultless, but well done to Lewis for his goal and to jake who scored and motm award. Now if we can just take this performance into our league games we'll find ourselves shooting up the table!
Really handy 3000 pounds prize money coming our way as well as a share of the gate money and a tie for the next round. Been a while since we can get excited for the draw which takes place on Monday. COYS!!!

Can't stop smiling after watching the game yesterday! Such a difference from last week. First 30 as mentioned were a bit sketchy but after that, wow! I criticised the keeper after his recent below par performances, but credit where it's due he was like a different man yesterday! Just a shame there was not more Histon fans daring to venture out of the village to watch the game. But the hardcore away supporters were great as always! One negative, looks like Jordan will be out for at least 12 weeks after breaking his ankle in 2 places. Few quid in the bank and in the draw for the next round, love it!

There's full match highlights in 4 parts on youtube, however if you want to see the goals, watch from about 6 mins on vid one and 3 mins on vid 2. We score from the resulting corner but the build up play before hand is worth an re-watch

Still in shock that we won. Well done to the lads. Hopefully it wasn't a one off and they get some points in the league and improve on recent performances.
