Just seen the line up tweet and the two passing mid-fielders from last years excellent Goddy team are both on the bench. So I guess the hit and hope tactics are still in fashion.

Being on Twitter and making comments is completely different to actually being there and making informed comments I actually took the time and effort to travel by train from Sussex to the match, so here is my informed opinion
Firstly the pitch whilst in great condition had a horrible downhill slope from right to left which the home team definitely exploited in the second half As a contest it was men against boys but not in a disrespectful way, there were handy players for Wealdstone ex pros who have played at a very decent level wellard, benyon to name a few, also from a physical point of view taller, more muscular and quicker, but the lads held their own
Couple of their goals were really good and excellent finishes, the other two were first to the ball wins simple as that speed and fitness won the day plus lucky break
Everyone of the lads who played can hold their heads up high it was by no means a bad performance it was just the gulf in class that won the day, I could name a few of the lads who stood out but that would detract from a great team effort

Family stuff prevented me from going yesterday so thanks for the report, sounds like we gave it a real go which is the same as the two previous FA cup games that I attended. The Wealdstone forum, apart from the usual big club little club stuff seems to bear what you say out, essentially that we were a very young and committed team but the gulf in league places was just too much to overcome. Once again it seems though we have an opportunity in our next league game to carry the positives forward - lets hope we do that.
