Arrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh!!
Another sh#t team, another loss. Just so infuriating. Regardless of our league position, we should be smashing teams that play like that off the park. Conceading yet ANOTHER early goal didn't help. Difference is, they can find the net. They had about 3 chances all game and scored two of them.
We had god knows how many and barely trouble their keeper who was crap. Problem is we work our way into the final third and don't know what to do? We really need to be ruthless and find someone who can hit the back of the bloody net. When your left back is the top goal scorer it says it all.
Probably the most dissapointed Ive been this season. If we cant find a way to be clinical then we're not going to win this season and I'll be honest I really bloody miss leaving the GW with a winning feeling!

We are becoming the laughing stock of the league. Opposition players have no respect for our players or supporters.
I've seen a few of our players on twitter post things like 'how did we not win that game?', well it doesn't take a genius to work out that until our attackers learn how to put the ball in the oppositions goal we will never win games and ultimately get relegated again!! We have a bunch of absolute bottle jobs playing for us at the moment.

We played some good possession football all game, but the final ball is often not great, and when it is we can't seem to finish. I thought we played really well, but couldn't find a way to turn that into a win. Calling the team a 'bunch of absolute bottle jobs' is not going to help.

Well in my opinion Marke, they are bottle jobs because they get to the final third and bottle it. It doesn't matter how well we play if we don't score goals we will continue to lose.

I feel your frustration histonfan. We certainly need more bottle! But I wouldn't say we're bottle jobs. It's just about being a little bit clever about things and having that extra bit of quality in vital areas. Man for man we were miles better. In fact I reckon around half the crowd are better footballers compared to their 9 I think it was! But when it comes to stringing it all together as a team we just don't quite click.
These are just some of my takeaways from memory, but I think that we should focus on.
Not conceding so bloody early on. I'd say for the first 15 mins or so we should perhaps concentrate on holding a good shape and ensuring we aren't breached and therefore not putting pressure on ourselves early doors by having to chase the game from the off. Correct me if I'm wrong but Rushden Aylesbury and Potters Bar have all scored against us in the opening 10 minutes. Maybe we can set up to play on the break during the period of the game, especially as we have bags of pace in the side? Either way we've got to stop getting caught cold on our feet!
Finding the wingers in space and getting them wider. In the first half, Gould and Matty were having a fair bit of joy down the wings. However, in the second half our switch play was too slow because we were too narrow. We really could have opened them up more if we'd been sharper. The quality we have on the wing really needs to be utilised to the max! In terms of goals and assists. Gould, Matty Jos and co can be match winners.
Set pieces/final ball. We aren't dangerous enough in the box. However, this is mainly due to the quality of the delivery. This really needs working on because far too many times last night our crosses were either overhit or landing comfortably into the goalkeepers gloves.
Finding the pockets of space in between midfield and defence. Second half of last night, especially, there was sooo much room at times. Again we have the quality to exploit this area with the likes of Chambers-Shaw.
Lastly, Shooting. I think everyone knows, especially on last nights showing, that we just need to spend large chunks of our weekly training working on basic shooting practise because we just simply don't test opposition goalkeepers well enough.

The frustration for me is I can't see anything changing. Week in week out I watch us play and nothing appears to be improving in front of goal. We have scored 6 times in 12 games, a couple of teams have put 6 past us in one game! Every week people post on here and it's usually the same sort of thing. So if we can see it why are those who could do something about not acting or if they are what they are doing isn't working.

As usual I agree with much of what has been said about our play. I do think our general play has improved tho, the new guy in the middle has really steadied the ship, watched him twice now and he has only miss passed twice in each game which has to be the bench mark for the whole team. But we really need to have a clear plan when we attack, stop over or under hitting crosses, stop trying to beat players twice, always make the goalkeeper save, get closer to our centre forward, and gamble. Finally I wonder why we did not fully exploit their sub left back who looked as tho he was playing completely out of position.
