"Afternoon!x Sutton Utd did the Non Leagues proud as we all witnessed....but.....'The S*n have once again brought shame on our game....for their personal gain. It is them who organised the 'pie bet' which reserve keeper Wayne was duped into playing along with. It seemed an innocent thing at the time....but it has transpired that there was a bet able to be placed which involved him eating the pie. In essence...he....Sutton FC...and our game was 'used' for that filth of a newspaper outfit to profit on. They 'sponsored' the club for the one off telly game...again hi-jacking a super event to promote their cr*p...gambling. The way they dealt with Hillsborough taught us all how a gutter press operated. I don't buy newspapers and haven't since 1983.....but I would never buy The S*n if I did. They printed a story with me front page saying I was 'Black' and of Jamaican descent....truth is....i hate being called 'black' and told them so in the interview...i'm brown....and me Mam never knew me Dad and he certainly weren't from Jamaica!
DON'T BUY THE CR*P.....its you that allow them to carry on doing their sh*te....they treat you with contempt as constant Court cases have exposed. Time for the level of operation to be raised to decent level and not degenerate....I reckon....X Rant not over....I will always promote their downfall as an outfit whilst they exist....end of...X Shearer is also dis-appointed for his old mate too....they played together as kids at Southampton. Unfortunately Lee / John...it is not always the football clubs who have the say in such things. I have dealt with these things a couple of times when Cambridge United got to Wembley and the like. I had phone calls telling me that an 'ad firm' had the contract to sort the advertising around the pitch......and we had no say in the matter. I tried to protest as our regular advertisers who had boards around the ground would have had theirs covered over by the 1 off firms advertising. When i think about it.....it was the FA who had the say as it was them who sold the contract to the ad firm wherever televised games were on for the Cup runs. In fact I will find out who was responsible for letting The S*n in on the action....and yup...I may not be surprised to find the FA had brought the ad firm in who then sold the space to the S*n. I understand the FA were the 1st on the scene today knocking at Sutton's door for bringing the game into disrepute via gambling.......hmmmm. It all adds up to chancers....turning us all over....again. The innocent taken advantage of. Wayne the keeper was sobbing this afternoon at his plight. He thought it was a laugh getting involved.......out of the mouths of babes eh....falls pies.....sigh....X

You cite 'stringent betting rules' as your upset against Sutton/Wayne's actions..........but you soon covered up 'quietly' George Rolls ex Chairman of Cambridge United's 10,000+ BETS placed on behalf of players/moguls and folk in football didn't you?? If I recall there was no report done on his truth.....all done behind closed doors to protect your 'mates'. Picking on the little clubs again to big ureselfs up??? Morning!x Been on a 'trek' last week which took in several football clubs. Whilst my focus was on Political matters in the main especially in the Stoke area I did find time to do a bit more 'research' pert to this thread. As a result....I say this.....Dario Grady...is being set up to be 'the Patsy' I gather. I will explain.



George Rolls was a Chairman of Cambridge United. He was 'used' by 'moguls'...players and staff within the industry on a MASSIVE scale to place bets across games......about 25,000 is my guestimate based on his admissions to me at the time. I helped him approach the FA Tribunal and became aware of the scale of his being 'used' by all. He deserved to be the fall guy for sure....but...the FA knew of this MASSIVE abuse across Clubs and folk within football. ...their reaction???...to fine Rolls £10,000 behind closed doors and keep the 'names' of others out of the Public domain....he was 'the Patsy'....and the FA played along with it as a damage limitation exercise to aid their image/business....s*d the full reality.....and bo**ox to cleaning up of the game. 
Grady....is in the same position....albeit for different reasons....I reckon. Based on the feed back I have had regarding the FA's handling of Grady's situation...it is obvious....you are clueless and focused on damage limitation not 'justice' or understanding of how the industry has worked to cover up 'abuse' over the years. I still maintain you need to pass all cases/reports and investigations over to an independent body as you are tainted by your own inappropriate record when dealing with such things......simple as.
Who...what and where is the person/persons who are deciding/researching Dario's dilemma? What are your intentions/remit? Are you 'qualified' to do such things? Nope....is my firm assertion. Playing at it....but....this ain't a game.....I reckon. 



Now...some chat to re-assure 3 reporters who are 'confused' about my position re Jeremy George. They know I can 'take him out' as such anytime I like....and based on their research/feedback and stuff...they know he is banged to rights. Their confusion is 'why' do I not just 'do it'? My answer I have given to them individually....is more 'truth' than perhaps they can handle or their remit covers....but simplified it is this........I removed every charlatan and wannabee that Mr Barry turned too to do his 'business' over the past 7 years or so. From Phil 's*d the Law' Law...to Lee 'I love Cambridge United' Power...Brian ''embezzler" Attmore...and the Patsy George Rolls. I even ensured Gareth 'schemer' Baldwin didn't go near it when he was being lined up as the last 'sensible' option Mr Barry had....he was sharp enuff to know not to confront me....a 'proper' fan. JG...was all of these folks 'runner'...as he and Arthur Eastham were to try and steal Cambridge City's assets from their fans. His role among them all is still the same today for Paul Barry.......does as he is told and is 'loyal' to his paymaster....be it legal or not....as history records. Look at the Court papers at his role in that attempted 'theft' of City's ground. He also protected Rolls during his tenure as CUFC Chairman....during his gambling spree. Low life...end of. However....as he is the last resort for Barry now...and has been for some time...then if he was to be removed.....yawn....I seriously believe it would cause a problem for the football club and its fans. Doggett...DMJ...the pretense of a Chair of CUFC Ltd and 'has been' Chair of the Fans org...know that. We discussed it a few years back. That reality still exists today.

I had it aimed at me by fellow investigators that 'abuse' of any kind should come above the club. I know.....but....as do the FA...I have to look at the consequences and try and limit the damage....not for any individual or for the image of the club....but for 'the people'....who would also end up being innocent victims of wrong doers. It is my 'Community' and it is me and others around here who would have to pick up the pieces. Based on my in depth knowledge of the current Directors and their interest/depth of pockets....there is no 'saviour' in the wings. I have said if other 'reporters'/investigators want to take him out now...then go ahead...make my day....and I will assist with the collateral of course. I have shared my reasoning for the sake of transparency and indeed honesty. I have nowt to hide except the truth for all around here....and hope it meets with your understanding...X Those who have suffered under JG's 'regime' or predatory advances and bullying over the years and have expressed an opinion or given information to me....understand my position and indeed have sympathy for it despite their personal grievances...X It is them i am also 'guided' by.....not one of 'headlines' folks!x Been a fan of CUFC for 42 years....it is a life time thing....and I will always put the Fans first....or I would have closed it down several times already when the opportunity has been gifted to me by 'amateurs' and wannabee moguls. I'm still here...they....have all gone. Hard core...and time served....taa...X

Dunno about you but I watched Tyrone's apparent 'stamp' 'live' and since several times....and the guy ain't even looking at the lead up to the impact.....chasing the ball simple as. Zlatan....outright thuggery....end of. As Robbie Savage sez....if he did that in the street he'd get 5 years. So...the FA regulatory commission review it all and come out with 'intent' against Tyrone with the panel ruling he deliberately stood on the head of Zlatan. I'm with Bournemouth......absolute bo**ox. No 'accent' or 'aim' on his leg movement when coming down....no 'intent' just natural movement whilst his head is looking at the ball. Yet with PROVEN intent via the same footage used re Tyrone...Zlatan only gets a 3 match ban for violently intentionally trying to cause injury to a fellow professional.......laughable and full of injustice is your findings FA.......again.



Listen up 'panel' of incompetence......run your own actions through the same scrutiny.......what would you come up with for your own organisation when proved you turned an 'intentional' blind eye and recommended a 'bung' by Chelsea to silence a victim of abuse...done just 2 years ago?
How about the Allardyce 'intent' to take the pi** out of you....and US...ENGLAND? 5 match? 3 Match ban? Naaa...walks away with cash in his back pocket...turns up chewing spoggy at another club and you lot hide behind bullsh*t for self preservation and to avoid accountability for crass diabolical decision making.

Oh and another situation....your own Gaffas....avoiding accountability when approached for such. Anyone got an answer out of Mr Ashworth yet regarding his knowledge gained/informed of about peedo activity or abuse whilst at Norwich...Cambridge...Peterborough? It was happening all around him....yet 15-20 years later and 4+ months after being approached....his 'intent' is to pull the 5th ammendment?

I have lost many friends during those unneccessary wars and still assist families...ex Vets...and the bereaved in ways and means via Charitable purposes in the main. I thought whilst writing this....'am I being too harsh?' considering the environment I am currently in. Upon review and before posting it.....naaaa...is my deep feeling....you're a fu**ing disgrace....and 'the people' will get their game back and where it belongs......respected by the World. Disclaimer: I have an interest in Bournemouth...the same can be said of most Clubs within the English FA's membership. I produced their Club diary throughout the 90's and developed great friendships with many of the unsung heroes who were there during the lower League languishing....as was I. Many of those folk are still involved in the club. I have a cuppa when down that way.....however...I have not discussed the issues i've raised here re Tyrone with anyone involved in Bournemouth. They are my own thoughts and opinions. What I do know is...the impact this decision will have on one of the 'underdogs' of the Premier League is...and will be...devastating....and possibly 'life threatening' as far as their staying in the Prem is concerned. That precarious position has been placed upon them not by the irresponsible actions of 1 player....but by the unbelievable innapropriate decision of 'white men in suits' who are blind as well as dumb. Don't take it personal Eddie or Tyrone......i'm sure they have their reasonings beyond what was on the table....init.

.....oh....and whilst i'm here.....anyone know if Neville is still 'waffling' about Arsenal fans??? The ar*e.
Finally...respects to old friends and Barcelona....who produced perhaps the most amazing 'escape to victory' we have ever witnessed!!x Shame it is Foreign football that has the positives at present....again. .....football is about 'opinions'...for us fans. Some are more considered...or informed than others. Knowledge has come my way to help me be confident of this next opinion.
For those who have 'followed' this thread...you know who this 'hard core' Man U fan is. For those who don't....he is my Cousin....and looked after by Man U lot for nearly 30 years now. The 'story' is within this thread.

My opinion is this.........Zlatan would more than likely come out and say summink like...' "Gossen har hårt behandlad"....loosely translated means 'the lads been treated harshly'........and wouldn't say anything in his own defence....I reckon.

After looking at the footage....my media firm having 'quality' kit to record the direct output of Sky 1080i and to be able to review at 1000 fps on a projected screen 10ft x 5ft...after analysing the 1.7 seconds of 'impact' and the collateral...in 1700 frames....there is not 1 frame where intent is shown by Tyrone in either eye contact or peripheral vision with an angle of 200 degrees...or in muscle movement during his legs transition from leaving his last action before 'stepping' over debris he automatically gauged an inch short.....in a microsecond. Hitting the bar job....simple as. However...in that same time frame....there are 465 frames of deliberate movement....pre meditated thought generating muscle spasm in arms...legs...torso and facial expression with a result of direct violence towards Tyrone done by Zlatan.......to support a 3 match ban....at least. They is the 'facts'....not opinion.

My in depth interest in human interaction began in 1980 and after being trained in some of the best facilities the UK offers to help develop that skill........I would have to say........Zlatan wouldn't be wrong in such a comment....I reckon...X

I summise the FA 'Commission' do not have either the 'qualified' or time served folk in place to assess such human things in as fine a detail or have the kit in situ at their meetings to suss such blatant actions and in-action via technology they can see! Ipso facto.....not fit for purpose.
So....I am left thinking....what is your basis for such decisions? Upset at the 'stand' made by Bournemouth folk when you cowboyishly approached them to 'investigate' the anti doping malarkey perhaps?
Surely their failure to respect your inefficient and often unprofessional approach to testing players must have miffed a few at the FA? Based on lifes experience....I can see how this may have been used to give a slap to the back of the head of insignificant low League 'old school' Clubs....because you can...and don't have to account for it in detail. They ain't 'tourists' where your real money is are they? But don't tell me your decision is a result of Tyrones innocent 'fall' on Zlatan's head. That.....is a lie...and you would lose if you give the case to an independent arbitrator with the ability to use 'justice' and facts on a level required without bias or prejudice to determine the reality. Being in a unique position of being mentally...emotionally and economically free of lifes worries allows me to do such things....but...I had to share my joy with you all in today's SUPER news as far as our beloved Sport is concerned...Sam 'the bung' Allardyce....has finally...been made to see sense. Not of his own doing mind you....and no cred to any pressure or accountability emanating out of the English FA either. Job done...I reckon. Managers...Politicians...who play dirty...need to be dealt with dirtily...simple as. Worked for me and my endeavours over the years when dealing with such unsavoury characters and unpatriotic ar*eholes.
On a more general note......whilst I always support whatever British team is playing v a European/International side......on this occasion....as Keegan said it....'I would LUV IT' if Manchester could win the game tonight.......for BRITAIN......simple as...X Glad Jose shut up on this occasion too.....X

Evening...X From my FB page and pert in here. My Siss became an Arsenal 'fan' and me a Liverpool 'fan' for the FA Cup final 1970. I was aged 10...she 9. I have remained faithful to that choice and they remain my 'top flight' team to this day. However....she was kidnapped by her husband about 15 years ago...he being a lifelong Chelsea fan and regular attender of games....she 'turncoated'......pah.

The 2nd was today.....the MILLIONS of pounds swilling around the English FA....and clubs like Chelsea.....and if it was just a football match....considering what's happened this week.....then how the hell wasn't there 1 person focusing on the priority today which was to congregate confidently...and pay respects to those who died and are injured in Manchester. No black arm bands by Chelsea....by mistake? The most incredible 'mistake' that the football industry has managed to come up with to date. HALT the game...put them on.....PRIORITIES...or....is it all rhetorical sh*te?

I say WELL DONE ARSENAL.....full on football and respects shown....properly focused....obviously. Chelski still on the pi** with Terry I reckon......he lost it for em.....is plausible criticism....lack lustred effort and they looked like they were still suffering from the Bolli.....bo**ox the lot of em. "Cambridge and area folk....LISTEN UP. There are HUNDREDS of displaced folk sitting in London wondering where their next pair of underpants are coming from...and toothpaste. They have absolutely nothing. I have spoken with several hire firms this morning whom I have relations with asking them to donate a vehicle and am organising collection points within Cambridge and area for folk to donate useful stuff for those in need. I was having 2/3 days off...so I can't sit and do nowt....or finish me boat renovation. If you have a van and are willing to invest £30 and a day's 'work' taking it to London full of gear then message me.....or are willing to be a 'collection point' within the City and villages...then let me know. I would like to make the 'trek' to London for the weekend. Saturday/Sunday would be good and perhaps more convenient for others. I am sure gear/every day items can be collected in time donated by the people. It will be better than money/donation at this point. Folk need help...TODAY...not through a Committee set up to award funds to the needy.

Update:

UPDATE on Cambridge to London run with aid for the victims of Grenfell fire...X

Willingham Auctions...a family firm based in Willingham with huge premises have kindly offered to be a collection point for your donations!x Those living in villages nearby can take stuff there where it will be stored and I will arrange for it to be shipped to London as soon as there is a van full!!x Ed and his Family are good friends besides being business colleagues and I appreciate their very kind offer...X


What to donate and how? Think like this......close your eyes....then open them....and all you have is what you are standing in and have on your person. No brush...toothpaste...pants...socks...toiletries.....nowt. What would be essential to just be able to wake up the next day and face it...! Clothes are useful but 'new' unwanted Xmas pressy's and the like would be good as sometimes 2nd hand clothes do need sorting/cleaning and the like before being delivered...for which we have no time for at present! Tinned stuff excellent...non perishable goods all superb. New electricals/unwanted gifts....anything like that....excellent...X

I think a black bag with a label written on it to say what kinds of goods are inside would be the most helpful to avoid further 'sorting' upon arrival. Use your FB/Twitter accounts to put the word out....get it together....and we will ensure it reaches London folk in need via a Charity or organisation which is 'on the ground' yet to be determined...but I am 'on it'!x

My motivation in part? As a kid...me and me Siss Carol and Mam moved to Middlesborough from Hull...circa 1966...just before Xmas. We went ahead of the removal lorry......it never arrived. We had nowt. Social Services came round on Xmas Day.....a fella gave me a plastic tractor...with a cracked wheel. But if you pushed it at an angle....it still drove along...no problem. I was 5/6. I have never remembered a Xmas present as I do that tractor to this day. It is all I had for Xmas. Until you have been there.....u know......u don't know....X

There is always 1 person that usually captures the Nations feelings during these tragedy's....Mayor Giuliani with the twin towers..Tony Walsh the poet for Manchester...and are the connection for many to the event. Afternoon!x Out of courtesy as I shared what was happening at Grenfell...I thought i'd let you know some good news!x For you Cambridge fans...this 'potential' of utilising my contacts Globally was available to our Club. Sadly...ego's and Mother henning it has got in the way consistently. They tend to get 'possessive' living in a rectangular box. I have tried...as you know. But you can only help those willing to do right. My intention has always been to serve YOU...the fans...and nobody can say different.....including a Crown Court Judge! Much of what I do is behind the scenes...it has to be....but on this occasion....I think it deserves sharing. After discussions today with Nicks lot and an Australian Building Billionaire friend and American friends and Stoke based friends at JCB....then £50 MILLION is in the pot...in 3 days. Not giving it large or owt...just being honest. A Jim Bowen moment...'look at what u coulda won'...init!x I'll be here as always waiting for more 'people' orientated folk to be at the helm of the club...we'd relate then....no probs!...until then....I'll stick to my League...of Gentlemen....old school rule....YEAAAHHH!!!...X Oops....for those in the upper echelons whom I told at the time...who considered me a bullsh*tter and fantasist....perhaps now you can believe that it was just a phone call and a returned favour to roust up £4 mill from the Duke (RIP Sir...X)....to buy the ground....yawn. I will keep it simple...and straight. You regular FB friends who read/follow my stuff know I know a lot of shakers and movers out there. Many of them know of me too. I promised Andreia and her front line folk who have looked after Grenfell folk since they ran out of the building that i would help them. Last night that lead to Andreia bursting into tears of joy.....for once....X
Nick Knowles of SOS came to me....he said he had sorted £20 MILLION at least...1000 volunteer workforce and had International firms from around the Globe wanting to help. I got hold of Andreia after I was satisfied Nick and his Producer had the right intentions...took her to him.....pic 1 shows her shock upon realising who was with me...and burst into tears a second later and hugged me...then Nick. JOB DONE.
I am sure we can get that to £30 Million...yawn. But we are still at an early stage. NOBODY knows this except YOU reading this...and Andreia last night and her immediate Committee... although they don't know the detail as I have described here as last night was not the time for us all to discuss it. They were gobsmacked and overjoyed that something good was just gonna happen. Sorted. There will be many further discussions over the coming weeks but Nick is chomping at the bit BIG TIME so not too far into the future and the project will be determined by 'the people'....and rightly so.
Oh...and I may have broke BBC's secrecy malarkey....but hey....i'm independent....not contracted...and so they can get on with their program....or...I will find someone else....no probs...X

Morning!x Such a positive and constructive gathering in London among 1000's of the FA's finest customers Nationwide....yet no Media report it. Granted there were peripheral 'activists' that tried to hi-jack the agenda but it was not part or the intention of this march. In fact it was the largest ever march of its kind...yet no coverage in the mainstream media. Not 1 arrest...Fans paying respects to the Armed Forces Day...and uniting against extremism and supporting Patriotism. A formidable 'force'...for good...init. The PM had kind words for the Muslim Community's ending of fasting...a joyous occasion...and rightly so. But...whilst we as a Nation acknowledge other Faiths...their rituals and momentous dates......at the same time 'the locals' are told we can't fly our Union or English flags....and St George's Day is being shoved under the carpet as an 'embarrassment'. Who...is our Country for these days? Just asking. Well done Fans of the UK...you did the football World proud and yourselves. Shame those who cream your dosh...the FA....and kettle and corral you...'the State'...don't find time to acknowledge such positives when they are there to do. Hopefully i've done my bit here to help proliferate that super news. Have a happy day all...X

Dear Prince William...the Duke of Cambridge...Sir...whilst your recent adventures with the FA/FIFA went for a Burton...forgive the punt....the good name of Cambridge which you PROUDLY wear...is respected and LOVED by ALL at Grenfell...X Indeed i think it may be the most prolific area outside of London that has provided essential and appreciated support to the affected at Grenfell. You should be proud of your subjects Sir....Villages from all around and from within the City walls...rallied........'the people' pulled their finger out....BIG TIME...X CAMBRIDGE gets the recognition...the people Sir....not the tourists or the University whom the locals have looked after for 800 years. Hi!x As it is a 'local' issue which many fans of all 3 Clubs will know of...I thought i'd post my FB post in here for all to see. Simon Dobbin's wife Nicole answered my post and that is included too...X

LISTEN UP U's Fans...X
Whilst it is very sad and an unnecessary reality for all...the 'brave thugs' who made an unprovoked and merciless attack on Cambridge Fan Simon Dobbin and left him brain damaged for life at a match at Southend Utd...were convicted yesterday and are awaiting lengthy sentences. The relatives of those convicted didn't cover themselves in remorse either...indeed they thought it better to abuse Simon's wife Nicole by shouting all scag like 'at least they get their boys back'...or something similar. There are no words to describe the horrific attack on an innocent football fan going about his business...or for the pi** poor attitude of the offenders family and friends...however...I hope these words mean something to some of you who care about the whole scenario...and many do...including me.
By pure co-incidence...several 'Grandad hard core' from Southend joined me fishing at Shoreham near Brighton on Thursday afternoon/evening. We waited for the 'result' of the Court case whilst fishing. Whilst we were all pleased with the outcome as far as justice is concerned...like us here in Cambridge....'old school' folk with 'principles'...they aren't happy with the perpetrators...and their extended family. It was heartening to be with like minded folk...who live in the perpetrators locality...and after hugs of genuine friendship and comradery...I do believe some issues will be 'sorted' by 'their own'. These 'brave bullies' and 'gobby gets'...are not admired...appreciated or indeed supported...by their own...and a sincere 'apology' to all those affected was forthcoming from time served 'proper' Southend fans...for the behaviour and actions of these now ostracised thugs. I also believe the 'tag' that these wasters have now got...WILL follow them on their journey through the Penal system. Easy done these days...and their names/pics are available to all.



I wish Simon and Nicole and their family every happiness for the future and whilst putting the cowards in Prison doesn't help them...hopefully it shows them the system...Justice...and us proper fans...are in their corner...now...and forever...X



A 'word' to all U's who may feel there is unfinished business at any future Southend fixture. Based on my knowledge gathered....contacts and friendships made....I do believe there is no one left within the Southend family of fans....who want to defend or indeed take issue with their unfortunate predicament re Simon. The hard core...feel the same as us. Out of respect for Simon and his family....I genuinely believe we should leave it like that...X A fund raising football match/Penalty comp betwixt fans was offered in general chat by Southend folk...and due to their intense involvement with their Club nothing will be a problem their end to sort...not a bad idea methinks too......if some of you are up for that then it can be sorted!x WELL DONE to all those U's fans...players past and present and the CEN and many others for their continued support and Charitable efforts for Simon and his family....X

My reply....

I do believe Nicole that all those who had any connection to the attack on Simon have been caught. Whilst no individual/s were convicted of the actual blows to Simon causing his injury's...they are all convicted by association. The friends I was with on Thursday know those convicted. Some of the older members of that 'crew' are the scum end of life...according to their own. It follows that such an attitude will be among the family circle. I do also know that some of those convicted were possibly in the wrong place at the wrong time and are remorseful for their part in the situation. Unlike Simon tho'...they will recover from their unfortunate circumstance. These convictions are an end to looking to blame or condemn anyone else now and I agree with you that Southend Fans do not deserve to be associated with such low life activity. 22 Cambridge 'Youths' went to prison as kids for a 'fight' which was totally unrelated to football back in the late 70's me included. However...none of us would have considered attacking an individual en masse. Indeed we faced in excess of 100 Men/Youths according to the Police at the time although we didn't know that is what we had decided to confront! There is 'ole boys malarkey' which most of us grow out of or get wise too....and there is a violent attack on innocent folk. The two don't live in the same world. That came from Southend fans....and I have to agree...X Any help I can be of in the future please don't hesitate to ask...X

Evening!X To conclude the previous post I add this post I made this morning on my fb page. Simon's wife Nicole hit the 'love it' button in the virtual world... I believe that would translate to 'job done' and an end to the matter...in the real world. Thanx for reading. X

Morning!x I was as pleased as 'the system' will allow with the sentences handed out to the Southend cowards yesterday who attacked the innocent Cambridge United fan Simon Dobbin and left him brain damaged for life. Whilst nobody has yet been convicted of the actual damage inflicted on Simon....the Judge has spread the 'blame' in as severe a manner as he could....i'd say...X

The perspective I offer is this......in the mid to late 70''s a Cambridge 'fan' threw a brick out of a car window during an altercation with a coach of fans that had stopped for refreshment at a garage on Newmarket Rd one Saturday evening. The brick hit a lamp post....and rebounded onto one of the fans.....and killed him. I was there that night. I also went with the offenders Uncle and Cousin to Norwich Crown Court to see him get sentenced. Indeed we were the only ones that were there to 'support' him....from Cambridge. I was 15/16. I had known 'A' since moving to Cambridge a couple of years earlier. From the second he realised what he had done....he was remorseful....did his time with good reports and came back home and became a 'decent' citizen and has never gone to a football match to this day I don't think. It affected his life forever....he was never as confident a person as he was before the offence. I have seen him a couple of times in the past 40+ years.....and know it is on his mind and will be to his death....i'm sure. He got 5 years......the main perpetrators here who have been deemed the main attackers/wrongdoers against Simon have been given 5 years too. 5 years for killing someone.....is equivalent to what has happened to Simon...in my book. The Judge could not do anymore.

So I thank 'the system' for doing its duty on behalf of all decent folk who still 'trust' in the British Justice system. Simon's case was not profiled by the media Nationally really either...so the sentencing was not driven by 'hype'...but by the reality of the situation.....and all of us here in Cambridge who have an interest in Simon and his Family's well being...should be respectful of the sentences and consider the matter closed...unless of course the actual folk who landed the blows are 'grassed up' or evidence found to pursue further charges against them.....which is still possible and the Police have left the case 'open' as a consequence.

None of the trial or sentencing affects the reality Simon...Nicole and family are waking up to today....but.....I hope it gives some satisfaction to know those who changed their lives for the worse.....have been caught and dealt with.....and i'm sure we all hope no further sadness/hurt or violence continues for others as a consequence of this situation both Cambridge fans...and Southend fans...have found themselves in....X

Positive things have already began to start happening for Simon and his family since the sentencing through the Cambridge Utd 'family'...and I have offered my support to those willing to put themselves out for others and a meeting will be had soon to see how that can be taken National....X Nicole....'for better or worse'....YOU...are a proper Wife...Woman...Mother...and competent fighter. Simon chose well......I reckon....RESPECT from me....forever...X
