I have read it and my understanding is that we would need to finish 2nd to have any chance of going up as the article refers only to "runners up" and doesn't mention teams lower down. I can't see that happening but we are having a good season regardless and this is a better league to be in than I thought it would be. Attendances have been good this season and not getting promoted isn't going to be the end of the world.

Ahh my mistake then. I was alluding to the "points-per-game basis" but I guess that would be out of all the 2nd place teams. Either way, I'm with you in that step 5 isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I've witnessed some good football from us and other teams and hopefully, if we keep it up we can push the 200 barrier most weeks until the end of the season?
Promotion or not it's been a breath of fresh air so far but of course, as a fan, you want the lads to push all the way until it's impossible and I'm sure they will.

Yes a good crowd at home is always a bonus, but hats off to those who travel each away game.

I see that Ossett Town and Ossett Albion (both in the NPL) are merging at the end of the season so that's one extra promotion place that will filter down and be up for grabs across all the leagues at our level. Could do with a few more tho!
