With about half the season gone does it look like the title race is between ourselves and Godmanchester ? Stowmarket are close as are a few others but having played so many games surely they can't be contenders unless the top two both have a collapse in results. The Vase run is great and brings in extra money but I'm not sure I would trade a trip to Wembley if it was at the cost of promotion (though its a close call!)

Certainly set ourselves a super platform to push on in the new year. Still work to do but id go as far as saying that if we can match goddy's and stow's results for the remainder of the season then we should be champs. Other teams still pose a threat but we have so many games in hand we're still in the drivers seat atm. The only way we could find ourselves in some bother is if one of the teams in the top 5 or so goes on a 100% winning run for the rest of the year. Regardless, we can and should only focus on what we can achieve ourselves. Obviously I think we'd all take promotion over a day out at Wembley but there's no reason why we can't do both. We're in such a strong position in both comps we should be aiming to succeed in both. What a historic season it would be if we did ey!

Yes , to achieve success in both would be quite incredible but we will have to just wait and see . The one good thing about this season is that with the size of the division having been reduced to 20 there are 8 fewer league games. This hopefully should leave plenty of mid-week availability to catch up on the postponed fixtures without too much of a pile-up of games.

Good to see us progress in The FA Vase. Also pleased to see Godmanchester get through as well so there is less chance of them stealing a march in the league. Stowmarket lost though so might overtake us if they go on a good run before we get the chance to play a few of our games in hand. The top of the table is very tight now.

Well a great away win at in-form Yarmouth today and good to see us back in pole position after dropped points elsewhere. What a huge month ahead though with 2 games against Woodbridge and an away game at Wroxham before the FA Vase clash and then the re-arranged game against Framlingham. Fingers crossed we are still in one of the top positions come February 6th but it looks good so far.

Well a great last gasp win against Thetford on Friday , as it was against Ely before that. Looking at the fixtures for the rest of the season , we have a much tougher run in than Godmanchester. They have four games only against teams in the top half of the table whilst we have 9 , including tough games against some of the top 7 , both home and away.I think it will be tight towards the end of the season!

I was thinking we had a slightly tougher run on paper but goody drew at home today against long Melford so goes to show no games are going to be easy. Just gotta keep focusing on ourselves seeing as we're in the driving seat. Fantastic character shown the past 2 games so I'm sure the boys will be giving everything to ensure we're celebrating as champions come April.

....and we will have to keep an eye on Woodbridge after 12 away goals in 2 games to go into 2nd place for now.
